We are cruising Alaska in 2 weeks out of Vancouver (not on DCL :( as just not in the budget) just wondering for those who have cruised Alaska with babies if you have any tips? Did you bring a stroller? Dress baby in layers? Any must brings? Would love to hear your experiences :)

Prepare for damp weather, and use layers. A stoller or baby wear if that's your thing, is recommended since the usual ports, skagway and ketchikan are literally right off the ship. Juneau is a bit further from the pier. Luckily since it is Alaska, you should be able to easily find any items you run out of or forgot behind.

Must brings for us included some toys and activities, that we would rotate. Kids love to explore and do things, so unless you have access to a kids club (even on Disney open house time was very limited for the nursery) it was a great relief to have our own things to play with.

Did you find you used your stroller on the ship?

We did Alaska with 9 month old and also did not bring our stroller. I never missed it.

We chose excursions like the train in Skagway and whale watching in Juneau so small toys were very helpful for us too.

Have a great time.

When I traveled with a baby I either had them attached to my chest in a snugli and when they where older I carried them in a backpack carrier. When I used a stroller on a trip it was always a umbrella stroller, packed easier and didn't care as much if it got damaged in transit (easy to replace almost anywhere).
