Can't wait!!! We are staying overnight at the Port somewhere so I definitely plan on being at the terminal as soon as we can. I want to make the most of the trip.

I think we might hit Parrot Cay for lunch as I have read it's a bit less chaotic then the buffet can be. Then for sure hitting the kiddie pool area.

Just checked online and we got an upgrade! From 11 to 9! Wheee!!!

I'd forgotten but I had read that about Parrot Cay as well. Do you know what the menu is in PC for lunch? My 11 year old son thinks he's too big for the kiddie pool. I bet he'll have fun with the slide though.

Congrats on the upgrade. Were you in a guarantee room? I had looked on the DCL website to see about availability to upgrade to a verandah stateroom, and it looked to me like the ship was pretty full, except for category 3 and 4 staterooms. The price on those scared me off!

HAHAHA this my 3rd cruise and I will be saying that too!!!

Believe it or not, on our 7 night *which we were on last year, this exact time * ... our alcohol alone added up to $1,200 Those drink of the day's ADD UP FAST!!!

I have no idea about the menu actually. I had just read it seemed to be a bit calmer. Especially since I am sure we'll be doing the buffet at least a couple of other times.

I'm not sure about if we were in a gurantee room or not? I just got DH to check for our room assignment. It still said Cat 11 but when we checked the room # on the plan it is a room with a window Cat 9

Don't forget ... bring bathing suits in your "carry on" bag ... you won't have access to your stateroom until 1:30 sharp ... and your suitcases could take as long as up to 6:30 to reach your stateroom. So have the kids either wear their suits under shorts and a t-shirt ... or there are great bathrooms right under the top of the mickey slide (also next to our favorite bar!!)

my husband and i are also VERY generous people ... we were buying drinks for his brother and sister in law and friends we had met so ... we had fun and don't regret one penny!!

Changed my tune today . . .

I called today and had my stateroom changed . . . not sure if I did the right thing, but after reading more reviews about it, I was scared

Now, I'm on on deck 7, mid ship!

It was weird, when the CM told me she would try to talk to a manager, she was chipper as anything, just brimming with the Disney sweetness. After she returned, it was like Jeckyl and Hyde!! I think they may have secretly punished my with a even worse room, perhaps!!! I think they get a lot of complaints about that room because she tried to convince my it was a "GREAT room and that people rave about it. The manager himself stayed in that room!!!"

Not for me, thank you . . . I love my sleep!!! I've lost out on my upgrade, but now I do not have to worry about pumping stabilizer noises throughout the night!

OK, I think I've talked myself down Thanks for listening!!

I feel much better now!!!

Maria - I must have missed this post. I can't blame you for changing. It's your vacation, and you want to do everything you can to make sure you enjoy it to the fullest! Sorry you had to lose out on the upgrade but it sounds like you'll be happier in the end!

We usually just head straight to the pool and grab some pizza and drinks ... works perfectly and gets the kids cooled off right away!!

Wow, this Saturday is 3 weeks til we leave ... it's crunch time!!

No docs here... We leave May 7th...

Well its been a week from heck here...

All the rain we have been getting we thought we had 2 leaks in our roof, about $200 later no recent leaks... Well our computer room in the doorway kept getting soaked! So we called the plumber thinking a leak in the water lines under our slab... Well just ask the plumber was ready to take a jackknife to our floor we moved our dogs crate and found the wall was bubbled out. MAJORLY bubbled! So he tore out some wall and repaired it. So $175 instead of over $480. But then I got fired... Yep... canned....
So the hits keep on coming.. 20 days until we take off and I lost my job....

I need a drink.. a nice stiff one... So when you see me on the ship, I should have a drink in hand already, I hope.

Good thing the trip is paid for except for expenses while there, which we will figure out I am sure. say a prayer or two for us if you can... we need it. I am not a really religious person, but we could use some luck after this week.

YAY for you!!! Ours are coming from DCL direct as well so they should be flooding along soon. I prayed that it wouldn't be this week since my kids are off from school and they would open the door for the UPS guy ... that could be disastrous if the package says DCL up in the corner!!!
