Cruises at EPCOT

Does the cruise from the BCV/YC for the illuminations actually go into the EPCOT park? or does it stay in crescent lake and then anchor for the fireworks?

They just stay in the lake by the bridge to watch the fireworks, then when its over they take you back to the YC/BC pier.

Also, gotta book them as soon as you are allowed to (can't remember if its 3 months or 6 months). They book up by in the first few minutes.

We did the Illuminations Fireworks cruise in June last year. The pontoon boat ride consisted of driving over to the MGM area then back over to Epcot where we tied up under the bridge and watched the Illuminations display. After that we cruised back along the boardwalk and then back to the dock at the YC/BC. Overall it was a great time.
