Cruiseline Brides and FLOWERS!!!!

I just got off the phone with DD and she has been informed that the outside FLORIST that we were going to order her flowers from is NOT a Disney Vendor, so she will not be allowed to use them for the flowers for her wedding in November. I am not sure I should post who the florist is just wanted to give anyone who was thinking of using another vendor a heads up.....

I don't know how they can stop you if it is?? She delivers baskets and flowers to the ship everyweek..If she sends them to her room, I don't think they can stop her.

Now, they may not store the flowers for you..but they can't stop you from using them..just like if you brought your own silks on board

Yes it is the same vendor you used.....I just think it is crazy to risk keeping them in the fridge in your cabin, what if they wilt like crazy, I know someone posted here that a flower cooler is not the same as a fridge, and I had heard that before. So it is not really worth spenind the money and possibly having crappy flowers for her wedding.

They Can not stop you from using them, but they can refuse to store them. however (again) they told me they couldn't store my extra flowers for the Dad's and Mom's but when Shirley delivered them they went right into the flower cooler and I didn't see them until the morning of the wedding.


Can I ask a question. Why are you guys not just using the free flowers from Disney. Why are you even ordering another bouquet? Disney can change your flowers for additional money and get anything you want pretty much. They switched the colors in both mine and Betsy's and we had two of the most beautiful bouquets you can imagine!

And were they not really fresh??!!

Don't get me wrong..Shirley did great work for my floral..she did the 3 bridesmaids bouquets for less than DCL charges for ONE and the huge bunch of hydrangeas, roses, greenery and 2 glass cubes were only $75 delivered to the ship!! That is a big savings...but I wouldn't have risked my bouquet. I originally asked for green orchids for the bunch, but they couldn't get them from their supplier...since I was on the ship the days before the sailing ( I was on the previous cruise) she couldn't contact me about substitution and did the best by adding more roses and hydrangeas..which was fine with me...i didn't notice until later that night.

The reason we were looking into another vendor was because Disney did not offer the flowers she wanted for a bouquet. And as you have said they changed the colors for your bouquets, at this point I am sure with all of the changes if DD asked for a different color I am affraid she would hear that they only do what is their "standard" for everything.

She is beginning to get a bit angry, she is paid in full has been for sometime and NOW they decide to change what she had been told previously, I think that I would be a bit upset as well.

I would call Cindy...Brianna is very new and might not want to stick her neck out for changes..Talk to Cindy Garber.
