I have 6 of us going on a cruise and the cruiseline will cost us 480.00 round trip to get from the airport to the cruise terminal in Orlando. Are there any cheaper options that would allow for that many people plus baggage? I would love to maybe get a Limo but I am unsure of the cost and what company to use

TIA

Rental car or limo will likely be cheaper. Rental car is likely the cheapest.

Not sure when you are going but I just ran a dummy rental for a Sunday in April for an 8:30 AM pick-up at MCO and a 12:00 return at Port Canaveral. Using the BCD U240720 code at Budget, the total cost for a mini van would be $89.57. We have used Budget in the past and my DH would drop me and my DD at the terminal, return the car and take the shuttle back.

A lot of DiS folks talk about using Cocoa Beach Shuttle company.
Their web page say 6 people for $98. Also look on the DCL Cruise thread for more info

When we stay at the Country Inn and Suites by MCO last week I saw one of their shuttle van pull into the hotel and pick up a group of people. They had a trailer attached to the van for the luggage.

i just googled reviews for this company because i had never heard of them and the cost is amazing.
not good reviews at all, really bad. i looked at yelp reviews as well as some individual reviews by people and they are scalding.
op may want to check it out if considering using this company.

We have used Happy Limo many times to Port Canaveral. Only once in approx. 8x did we have less than stellar service. Mousesavers.com offers a coupon for RT service. They offer more than just limos: sedans, minivans, limos, minibuses, etc.

We have tried the rental car method and find dragging our luggage on & off of shuttles, waiting in line at the rental car office, cramming luggage in the trunk, refueling, toll booths, etc a PITA, esp on the way home. Not a convenient way to end a very relaxing cruise, IMHO.

We'd rather pay a little more and have someone else deal with our bags.

Actually for our last few cruises from PC we prefer DCL bus service so we can use their Onboard Airline Check In. If you're flying home on a participating airline you may qualify. (SWA is for parks but not DCL.)
With OACI on the last full day of the cruise, they deliver your boarding passes and special luggage tags to your cabin. On the last night everyone puts their bags outside their door. If you're using OACI, you won't see/touch them until the next day at your home airport. In the morning you simply hop on the DCL bus and hop off at MCO, boarding passes in hand, and head to your gate.
We really appreciate this service after a 7-nt cruise since we have a lot of luggage with formal night, and when our kids were little Pirate Night.

I've found with ground transfers to/from PC, the more convenient the more it costs. The less convenient, the less it costs. It's all a matter of how inconvenienced you're willing to be and if the savings are worth it to you.

I thought that the car rental was areal pain. I do not remember which rental company we used. For our Sept cruise I really want to use Disney transfers. Has anyone used it to go to the parks?

Whenever I cruise out of port canaveral and flying in from mco, we rent a car with budget using codes from mousesavers.com. Budget has free shuttle to and from location. Also a very easy 1 hr drive.

When we cruised last May, we had a party of 3, and I priced every option out...

We rented a car on the way there (did a night at POR and spent time at DTD, went to AKL for breakfast, then drove to the port in the morning) -- I dropped DH and DD at the port, returned the rental car, and took the shuttle back to the port (to avoid having to lug luggage on the shuttle). We also loved being able to stop at Whole Foods to pick up some beer and wine to take on board!

On the way back, DCL transport was cheaper than the rental for the 3 of us (but probably not for a larger group1).
