Hi Cass,

I just finished looking at your DCL scrapbook pages and wanted to tell you how wonderful they are. You did a fantastic job. We will be crusiing in May and I want to scrap our cruise. I was curious were you purchased all the disney and cruise related pieces? Any other helpful tips you could give me would be appreciated. Also did you purchase a scrapbook while on the ship?

Thanks,

dthogue,

Thanks for the compliment! Umm it's been awhile since I have even looked at it  I think the only "DCL" stuff I bought were the postcards which I found on the ship. I bought a few cruise die-cuts from my LSS and a ship & anchor template there also. The only cruise album they had on the ship was the 8 x 11 one and I wanted a 12 x 12. However, after my experience in buying albums from Disney (regular refills don't fit and I had to spend $$$$$$ to get the right refills) I don't think I would buy another album from Disney. I saw some very beautiful ones in the DD store last week (which reminds me I should post those pics) but I didn't want to go through that ordeal again.

I also used a few things that you got on the ship. The front cover has the Magic on it that I cut out from the breakfast room service menu and I think I used some little cards they left us in our room.

Hope that helps! If you have any more Q's, just ask!

Thanks Cass, I'm going to fill in the next 6 months trying to gather supplies for my scrapbook.

I made lots of notes and will make sure to collect everything while on the cruise.

I'm sure I will be refering to your pages for ideas!

There are zillions of little mementos to pick up all over the Disney cruise. Make sure to ask for menus from the dining rooms, they will give them to you. I have mine from Thanksgiving dinner last year. It's beautiful.

I came home with a shopping bag full of stuff.

Now ask me how many pages I have completed in the last year, and I will have to lie. :p
