Yes, yes, I know the Dis has a cruise board but I'd rather talk to all of you!!

We're dipping our toes in the water about a June, 2011 cruise. Looking at the 6/26 sailing on the Dream. We'd like a Cat 5 or 6 stateroom, why the A,B,C, etc...categories? There's a small explanation on Disney's website but I'd like to hear from the experts about what it REALLY means!

Also, does Dreams still run the shipboard credit offer?

Also, what hotels does the Cruise Line run a shuttle from? We'll probably stay a few days at the World prior and would like to be at the right hotel!!!

Thanks all! It's either this or a trip down the PCH and DL so either way, I win!!!

I'm by no means an expert but I can answer a couple of these (not categories, no idea sorry).

Onboard credit info for Dreams is here

My understanding is the buses pickup from all WDW resort hotels.

The number is your stateroom category. That tells you the size of your stateroom. Cats 5 and 6 are very similar but on different decks.

The letters (A,B,C) are all about location. That tells you where on the ship your room will be located.

Most folks consider mid-ship to be an ideal location as it's centrally located and everything is easily accessible. Mid-ship is also the area where you feel the least amount of ocean motion. Think about a teeter-totter. The center moves the least

Other people (me included) consider the aft to be the best spot. Mid-ship can be noisy and crowded. You can wait longer for an elevator. I like the aft as it's quieter, the elevator wait is always less.

Because we're really good people.:lmao: We do this as a way of inspiring customer loyalty and as a way to stay competive.
