What kind of deals do interns get on Disney Cruises? Do they have to take the cruise while they are interns, or can they book for after they are done and still get the discounts?? Anyone know?

All Disney Cruise Line Guests travelling on Cast Discounts must present a valid Walt Disney Company Cast/Employee ID at check-in, so you wouldn't be able to book dates after the conclusion of your programme.

There are three discounts available to Cast Members, Space Available (which can be up to 50% off catalogue rates, but are only published on short notice), 10% off Florida Resident rates (even if the Cast Member does not reside in Florida), and 15% off Full Fare.

As I recall, I think you also need to be a CM for 90 days before you are eligible for discounts. I also remember that if a full paying guest requests a reservation and the ship is full, then a CM will get booted.

If that's true, I think it would only be for the "space available" dates, but I have never heard of it happening. I went on a space available 3 day and 7 day(over spring break one year) and didn't have a problem. 700 dollars for a 7 night cruise with tips included...god I love it!

So, you have to go on the cruise before you end your CP? Or just schedule the dates before your CP ends?

okay, so silly question then. how do you become seasonal if you cant get down there to work?

I became seasonal after my CP ended (which a lot of people do).

One requirement to become seasonal is that you have to give a certain amount of time right away (for Traditions, training, ect). I believe it's 2-3 weeks. Then you can go down whenever.

so does the time you put in for the cp count as seasonal, so you dont have to come back down again? haha sorry im so confused.

No, the CP does not count as seasonal. You would have to come back down as seasonal, to get in seasonal work. You have to work a certain amount of hours each year, to remain seasonal.
