Cruise Ideas and Now WDW too! My Ideas and Pictures

Hi All You Creative People,

I am going on my First Disney Cruise in November and I wanted to see what everyone does to add that EXTRA DISNEY MAGICAL TOUCH. I have done some research but I don't want to miss anything so please post what you do to make it extra special. I have a HUGE list of things for WDW and I made them all (or at least I think I did).

I have the following - please add to my list: FAMILY ITEMS - these are items that are not really just for my DS but for all of us to enjoy.

FE Extender
Door Magnets
Tip Envelopes
FE Gifts
Small Gifts to give CM's for "Outstanding Service"

My Packages for my DS7 for our First Disney Cruise. (Since we are flying I am having to keep my ideas "under control"

TRAVEL PACKAGE
Disney Backpack to hold the following:

Activity Book (I'm making this with the help of the travel threads)
Bag Topper (Mel) for snack
Disney Crayon Holder
Disney Disposable Camera

When we first get to the airport I am going to give him a Mickey Gift Bag with a "On Our Way to Disney World" airplane shirt and a Disney DISign Airplane Ticket. It will also have a 1st Airplane Ride Certificate that I am hoping we can get the Pilot and Co-Pilot to sign.

Epcot Package After we arrive in Orlando we will head over to the Port Orleans French Quarter and check in. As soon as we check in we are going straight to Epcot to spend the rest of the day. We will focus only on World Showcase. I will give him a Epcot Gift Bag with the following:
Welcome Letter to Epcot (Marion)
Epcot Ticket (Mel)
2 Epcot Coupons (World Showcase and Generic) (Mel)
Epcot World Showcase Shirt
Coupon for a Pin from each Country
Epcot Passport - Traditional Passport, Duffy Flag Passport and Flat Mickey Passport
Disney Autograph Book
Duffy Bear Coupon and Duffy Bear Certificate
Pressed Penny Money and Coupon for Pressed Penny Book
Epcot World Showcase Activity Book

After a wonderful day at Epcot including Touring World Showcase, Dinner at Teppen in Japan and Illuminations we will spend the night at Port Orleans. In our hotel room I am going to have the Welcome Letter created by Marion and a Snack Package from the Disney Gift Shop. The next morning we will depart for the Disney Dream.

When we get to the boat I am going to give Ethan a Pluto Welcome Aboard Gift Bag with the following in it:
Bon Voyage Shirt
Disney Dream Cruise Ticket
Sailor Pluto Plush
Welcome Aboard Bag Topper for Snack (just in case we have to wait to get on board)

Since I don't want to carry a lot of extra stuff I am going to wait until we get to the room to give him the additional Welcome Aboard items listed below.

A Bag of "Pluto Snacks" (really scooby treats but who has to know)

Disney World and Disney Cruise Journal (I have to wait tell we get to the ship to give this to him because it will have cruise pages in it and I don't want him to see them until after he sees the boat.)
Pluto Pirate Pillow Case to take to Guest Services for Character Autographs

I also wanted him to have something special while we are on the Cruise so I am going to do one more gift - Pirate Night Package. I'm not sure when Pirate Night will be but he loves Pirates and I know he will really enjoy this.

Also looking for ideas of things I can leave my son in the room for him to get each night before bed. I am making boxes but I don't know what to place in them.

Any suggestions!!!????

One night instead of a box you can leave a bucket and shovel for Castaway Cay with "beach" items like suntan lotion, towel, goggles, snorkle & swin fins.

Another night leave a "movie" style gift box with boxes of candy to take to one of the onboard shows.

You can leave another box with games for onboard/cabin down time. Include a set of playing cards and directions for games like spoons, old maid, go fish, etc., include a "scavenger hunt" for things to find onboard and you could even include a disposable camera so they can take pictures during their hunt, I have a "pirate sink the ship" playing card with mickey and the gang in my travel games file. You could also include a "travel journal", crossword puzzle books, books about the places you will be cruising to, etc. with this gift box.

idrivealumina has great "porthole" art with different characters that you can put around your cabin door porthole number. I think I included a link to his things in your "mickeys grand welcome" thread.

Something I thought of today is a Pirate Hat turned upside down and filled with all things Pirate for Pirate Night. The only thing is he has just about everything pirate already from our last trip to Disney in April. So I'm still working on a twist to this but here is a list of items I thought of for anyone else that might be interested in doing this:

just print cover and back page--I'd laminate them
inside add a bunch of pages for child to sticker-color-write their own Pirate's log Book.

When I saw your log book my ideas started turning. I'm on the hunt for a Pirate Pin and I want to make the pages look old.

I am actually taking a break--just from my own DISign thread--sometimes it is nice to not just personalize old stuff but try to make something new...(hope that makes sense)
I am unfortunately home sick--doc says lung infection so i think this mother's day will be one of rest ,,,and chocolate...
If you can't find a pirate pin before maybe you could give him a coupon for one on the cruise?

Anyhow you should be getting the Mother and Aunt of the year award...the stuff you made on the other thread is wonderful! Off to rest
