My wife and I are about to go on our first cruise, and we also want to make our first scrapbook for the cruise and trip to Orlando. I tried searching the forums but I couldn't find anything about the stuff they actually sell on the ship, specifically the prices and photos of what they have if anyone has them. Any help would be appreciated! I am wondering if I should find the album itself some other place.

I got off the Magic 3 weeks ago today :( They had a few paper packs, one for Castaway Cay, one for Pirates IN the Caribbean, and another for 2010. They also had a spiral bound book with papers in it, and I think there were 3 or 4 different 12x12 albums. There was a very nice "leather" one that I almost got, but I ended up with the 2010 one. I bought it early in the trip and brought it to guest services to have the characters sign the inside front and back covers. Just a nice added touch!

If you'd like to see pictures of the stuff I got, let me know and I'll take some!

Just wanted to say that I popped over to see your scrapbook.....What a great job!!! There are two layouts in particular though that pop out at me and I hope you don't mind if I scraplift them. One was a Castaway Cay layout....looked like you used many different patterened papers and cut out the same sized squares to use as a background page. I love that idea and what a great way to use up some scraps, too!!! And the other layout HAS to be the tic/tac/toe one. BRILLANT!!! I totally love it. Really a great idea on using up some "extra" pictures that don't really fit into some of the other pages (and I always have these!!!) Can I ask you what size you did the black squares, and the red X's & O's? Did you use a circle and an X punch? Cricut? My plans for today are to get some scrapbooking done and I'm sure I'll be doing pages similar to these. Thanks for sharing your scrapbook!!!

As for the OP....here's a link to the scrapbook album that I bought on the Disney Magic (I went back in 2008) just to give you and idea on what they look like. http://cgi.ebay.com/Disney-Cruise-2...725?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20b5044e2d
I THINK the album was $25 and then they had a separate album kit that you could buy that had Disney Cruise related papers, stickers, etc. I believe that was like $10 or $15. As for the pictures.....they can get expensive, especially if you're like me and buy all of them. LOL The 6x8's are $9.95 and the 8x10's were $19.95. Usually the ones that are 8x10's are your embarkation photo and your formal night ones (I believe) Then the other photos (restaurant ones, private island ones, etc) are the 6x8's. I've been on 4 different cruises (1 Disney, 1 Royal Caribbean and 2 Norwegian) and most ships will have a photo package that you can purchase where you will get X-amount of 8x10's and X-amount of 6x8's for a certain price. This is usually what I do. I'm not one to buy souveniers while on vacation but I always get a scrapbook and pictures (those I think are souveniers that will last a lifetime!!!)

The link directly below is where I posted a picture of the album I bought on board in March. I believe it was about $30. When all said and done though, it was not big enough for the whole trip so I have two different albums for the trip.

While on board I believe most kits were about $15 and there were about 3 to 4 to choose from described above. The spiral paper pad was about $10 and had sheets of various prints (one of each pattern). I bought one castaway cay kit and the paper pad. I have attached a link where I posted some of my work using some of the stuff I bought on board the cruise ( a lot was stuff I already had though too) If you are interested in looking there are some layouts on page one of the thread and one of the following pages as well.

Great idea with the signing. I had read about getting other things signed but thought my pillow case might be a little weird as I am 21 :rotfl: But the scrapbook idea is great.:thumbsup2

If you could take pictures of what you got I would love to see them :goodvibes

Instead of bringing my whole album to get signed, I brought 2 scrapbook pages up to the desk in a ziploc baggie along with my markers and by the end of the week, I had them back with all of the characters signatures.

Thanks everyone for the info! Although we picked out paper, got started and probably broke every scrapbooking rule, we will take everyone's advice about getting the album on the ship. I assume they are 12x12 scrapbooks on the ship?

There are no rules! You do what you like and that's all that matters.

No one has to know that the pillowcase is for you ;)

I'll take some pictures today and post them.

I bought the album on the ship, so it was no big deal to just drop it off. I had already given them my markers with my DD's pillowcase, but they used a black sharpie they had on hand.

Sorry, I got distracted!

Here is the front and back of the album (the 2010 was on clearance):

There's a 40 page bound book full of papers (several papers with the same design, but in different colors, but only one of each page - I should have bought 2!!):

Have fun!

Ooohhh... good thing my parents are going on that PC cruise in Jan. I NEED the spiral bound paper pack. The others are cute too, but I would need to go another Caribbean cruise to use them, and who knows when that will be.

I think we purchased almost the exact same items : ) Album, paper pad, kits, etc. Great minds must think a like. LOL

WOW, love the paper packs. It's about time that DCL gets caught up with us scrappers. Now they just need to add more punches and ribbons and brads, etc like at the parks. But overall, much more improved than when we cruised Thanksgiving of 2008.

Would it not be great if they did mini versions of each of the dining menus? Maybe by 2012.

If they are clearancing the 2010 scrapbooks in November already, I wonder if they will have any left when I go on the NYE cruise in a couple of weeks? I'd really like to have one!

Oooohhh, now I can't wait to go on our Disney Fantasy cruise (next June!!!).

I love the new spiral book of papers!!! I go to a Wednesday morning crop each week and one lady had the same book for WDW, it was one that had the characters in it. I loved it. And now I'm so glad that Disney Cruise Line has the same!!! Looks like I'll have to save some $$$ to purchase all the new goodies!!!

Do you remember how much the spiral book was? And since there is only one page of each design are you really regretting that you only have one book or do you think it's a good idea to get two.

***plus...where can I see scrapbook layouts of everyone's cruises?

I think the spiral book was $15? I haven't gotten to far in my book yet to wish I had more than one sheet, but I have TONS AND TONS AND TONS of papers, so I'm not worried about not having enough ;)
