Does anyone know who the current cruise director and Captain are on the Wonder?

Sorry, don't know who has those positions currently, but, if you don't mind - not trying to be snarky, but does it matter?

OK, just wondered. I've seen lots of people ask and I didn't know why it was important.

It really doesn't matter to me and whoever is on now probably won't be on when I head to Alaska this summer we were just chatting and curious who was currently on.

Some of us have history with certain staff including Cruise Directors and Captains. Clayton is from our town and Capt Thord is someone we have gotten to know having sailed with him numerous times. We have also watched a few Cruise Directors go from the Kids Club or the entertainment staff to their current positions and have grown to know them as they worked their way up. We enjoy some Cruise Directors more than others just because we know them and they recognize us and always stop and talk to us about what they are doing and where we have been. It is kind of like asking for a particular server, we have favorites.

Now it is very unlikely that we would forgo an itinerary we wand to book because our favorite or Captain is not on board, but if we do know we usually send them a message we are coming and see if we can bring them anything from home.

I can relate to the OP's curiosity. We enjoy our Disney cruises and like anticipating which CM we might see again on our next cruise. People on the Boards often ask about different servers and bartenders so I would think that wondering about the captain and CD would be a natural question. I guess I would have a harder time relating to someone who had no interest or curiosity about those principal positions.

Well to be quite frank if I found out that one week was cruise director A and the following week was switching to cruise director B. And cruise director A is the one we absolutely do NOT care for....well I most certainly would move my cruise. What may be important to some may not be important to others. But we feel the CD sets the tone of the ship and when they don't do a good job it can influence they way people feel about their vacation. If the CD is out and about mingling with the guests getting them excited making sure they are having fun, it helps make a difference in the tone and attitudes on the ship. You don't have to agree with me, but that is why we feel it is important because we feel certain CDs are MUCH better at this job than others.

You missed my point...I would potentially pick which cruise I would sail on based on the info if we were advised as to who the CD was going to be for the sailing....

We had Clayton too at the beginning of the month. He's a a lot of fun. We've also had Ray twice, and Rachel. I have no preference either. I think our Captain was Robert. We didn't hear the horn at all this trip.

We just got off Wonder and it was Cruise Director Clayton and he was fantastic. I believe our Captain was Cap. Robert.
