Cruise Credit Question

Hello all!

Myself and a friend who had cruises cancelled were wondering how prepaid gratuities, taxes, and port fees were being handled? I understand that for DCL that we are eligible for a 125% cruise credit based off of the paid cruisefare, but do we get reimbursed port fees, taxes, and prepaid gratuities?

Also, curious to see how long refunds are taking? I’m assuming I’d be refunded for my Shutters package as well...

I was refunded taxes, fees, port expenses and prepaid gratuities. I don't know about the Shutters package but I would assume yes. My cruise was just canceled this week so not sure how long it will take to get refund.

You have to request a refund for your photo package on the company's website, not through DCL.

Refunds for the port fees, taxes, and prepaid gratuities will go back to the original form of payment. We received ours in four day. We also requested a refund of the cruise fares. These were credited back one day later. Our cruise was cancelled on 4/27. First refund posted on 5/1. Remaining balance posted on 5/2 (as four separate credits).

What about DCL insurance? How is that being handled?
