Has anyone used cruise.com?? I booked my 5/04 cruise with them and I emailed my reservationist twice last week, and no reply. I will give them a call this week, but it's kinda getting me worried!

I have never used them, but they have been around a while. Also, keep in mind that many companies had problems accessing the internet due to the virus that was going around.

I talked to Disney before booking with cruise.com last time. DCL said they were one of their largest bookers(not quite the right word, I think....) Anyway, cruise.com puts a lot of people on the ship, and the woman I spoke with said they don't have problems with cruise.com.

We have booked both of our Disney cruises with them, and couldn't find a cheaper price. We use Irene, and her phone number is 1-888-333-3116, x299. You should probably call them to see what is going on.

I will call today....I feel much better now, though. whew!! Maybe the agent I booked with is no longer there, therefore her email address isn't valid?? I booked with Mary.

I called the 800# I had for my travel agent, Mary, at cruise.com. I got someone else's voicemail. That person called me back and said Mary had not returned from maternity leave and I should call customer sevice.

I called customer service and asked who my travel agent would now be...here's where I'm not thrilled. I was told "whoever answers your call at customer service can help you."

I've had a lot of experience in customer service and I gotta say I'm not real thrilled with this. I'd like to be able to shoot off an email if I have a question or "know" who I'm talking to when it comes to spending this amount of money.

Oh well...I'm sure things will be fine. Does anyone know if cruise.com has ever been able to apply a 1st time cruisers discount? Mary had said that she would look into it when it got a little closer to May.

we used Merle @ cruise.com w/no problems. My dealings w/her were all over the phone, not by email. She always responded quickly, and returned calls ASAP if she was on the line when I phoned her. I checked w/a lot of places & found the best rates w/them, many others weren't even close.

she did get the 1st time cruiser stateroom credit for us after I told her about it and insisted that she keep trying when 1st two DCL persons she spoke w/knew nothing of it. 3rd time she spoke w/the right person & got us our credit (we had 2 rooms, so $100).

be aware that DCL sends your documents to cruise.com, and they hold them until 2 weeks prior to the cruise & then express them to you. HTH

I just recalled that Merle's last name is Toon or Toone (as in cartoon). I believe she is located at the Fort Lauderdale location (in case you try to call, I believe they have 3 offices w/ 1-800 numbers differing between the 3 offices). Good luck!!!

I am now also getting quotes from All Seasons Travel for a cruise for us next summer, as they were about the only ones who were very close in pricing to cruise.com for us when we did our cruise in July. (this time will not be with DCL however)
