We are doing our first cruise in April. A 4 night on the Dream. DH just had a mini panic attack, lol, and asked what is served for coffee on board? We are both coffee people and are praying it's not Nescafé stuff. We could even deal with Joffrey's...

What's served for coffee onboard?

It used to be Nescafe, and now I think it's Maxwell House? Either way, it's probably the worst coffee you'll ever drink. We bring the Starbucks Via single serve packets, or get coffee in the Cove.

Yikes!!! Are there coffee makers in the rooms?

Also, are there refrigerators?

No coffee makers in the rooms but there are refrigerators. For a good cup of coffee on board go to the Cove Cafe.

Thanks for the tip!!

Another stupid question...is there a place to buy a little thing of milk to keep in our fridge for our 1 year old?

Hmm, I didn't like the coffee in October on the Wonder. I pretty much switched to tea. You can buy a good coffee in the cove, but you do pay for it.

For the milk, you can order some from room service or pick up some extras at breakfast and put them in the cooler in your room. There is no charge if you do either of those.

Excellent, thank you!!!

It's Joffrey's. I like it! Much better than the liquid Nescafe concentrate.
I just couldn't get past the 1/2 inch of sludge that came out of the spout every time I poured a cup on Magic in May. Not sure what they are using, but it isn't properly brewed coffee. It's more like a mix of freeze-dried and ground.

I was very nervous about the coffee situation after reading the boards; however, I was pleasantly surprised on the Magic a few weeks ago. I found the pot of coffee room service delivered daily to be delightful. I even enjoyed the cup I fixed at the drink station on deck nine. I did venture up to the Cove Cafe for a few specialty coffees and treats, but it was purely for fun and not a caffeinated need.

Did you order at a set time each day or call when you got up? Do they offer 1/2 and 1/2 or real cream? I will have to look up what time Cove opens. Dh and I are very esrly risers, unfortunately. At WDW, i have frequently been the first one to use the large coffee urn at the resort in the morning and have (more than once) gotten an unpleasant mouthful of coffee grounds :(

Milk is available in small cartons at the buffet restaurant. There is a small refrigerator in your cabin.
At the drink station on the pool deck they have it available by the cup.
You can also order it from room service at no charge.

It the desk drawer in your cabin there is a door hanger that you can fill out the night before and request coffee and Danish to be delivered to your cabin at a specific time in 1/2 hour time frame. Then hang it on your door before you go to bed. . Or you can call in the morning. If you call in the morning the wait can sometimes be long depending on how busy they are.

I'll be taking my first Disney cruise this June but I when cruising with other lines, I order coffee and fruit the night before to be delivered the next morning. It's the best wake-up call EVER.

If you fill in the form, do they knock on the door when they deliver it? I usually wake up early, but I'd feel bad if they woke up my husband at 6:00...
