Cruise choice?

The dates I have available to travel and that fit into the budget are as follows:

Disney Wish from Port Canaveral, one sea day, one day at Castaway Cay

Disney Dream San Juan to Fort Lauderdale, one sea day, one day at Castaway Cay.

The Dream has always been my preferred ship to try first and was booked before 'the unpleasantness' happened.

Cost is 1400 for Dream on a verandah vs 2000 for an inside on the Wish. Some of the cost difference will be made up from having to fly from Orlando to San Juan to met the ship. The flight schedule looks good enough that I will be comfortable with flying into San Juan the day of from Orlando.

But I do worry about the amount of moving parts - to go from Disney World to MCO, to fly to San Juan, and from the airport to the cruise terminal in a matter of about 13 hours.

I am just torn because of the price and the rather negative feelings Disney fans have towards the Wish.

Normally I would say the Dream since it's sailing from San Juan and it's a great city. But since you would need to fly the day of the cruise I personally wouldn't pick that cruise. Everything could go great with the flight or one little thing could go wrong that could make you miss the cruise. I would also want to have either a day before or after the cruise to stay in San Juan to explore the city. I've seen negative reviews on the Wish, but I've also seen a lot of positive reviews.

Can you fly into San Juan a day or two early? Its a pretty amazing place to visit and I'd hate to fly there and not even see it!

Been to San Juan multiple times. And going there in February. So kinda been there done that.

Verandah on the Dream. No contest.

I much prefer the Dream, but if that is a logistical nightmare, I would pick the Wish.

I would pick based on the ship you wanted to be on the most since the itineraries are essentially identical and you're not interested in the departure cities.
