Hi All,

What is the penalty for canceling a late Feb Disney Cruise?
We had planned on using our points and have reservations.
Turns out that the timing for this trip is not good.
Is there a set fee for canceling?

If you book a cruise and then cancel, those reservation points cannot be used for a DVC resort or for a World Passport collection exchange.

The cancellation policies are different depening upon the length of the cruise and the stateroom category you booked.

We booked our cruise for Feb 09 with points and the CM gave me a list of dates on when we cancel and how much points we can get back. This is what I was told 75 days before sail all points back, 45-74 days 24 points per person charged. 8-44 days 50% of points charged and 0-7 days before sail no points given back.

I think when they are returned to you though, they are no longer "regular" points that can be used anywhere. They have now become "reservation" points, which have a lot more restrictions on use, as the previous poster said.
