cruise cancellation question (regarding on board booking discount)

Hi all! So we have a cruise booked for next July and have had it booked since the dates opened earlier this year. We used our on board credit from our cruise last December.

Now here's the issue. I am newly pregnant, and should everything go according to plan, I'd be giving birth a week before our sail date. So obviously this isn't going to work out for us. We have no problem re-booking our cruise, but the issue is we don't want to lose our discount/on board ship credit. Is there any way to have them extended? And not even by an excessive amount of time....but by a couple of weeks or so. Our last cruise was in early December 2015 and we'd be able to cruise again in LATE December 2017, missing our 2 year window by days....does anybody have any experience with this sort of thing working out in their favor?

I'm hoping DCL would be flexible because we still want to cruise (AND bring more people than our last cruise), but you never know. Also, don't judge me too harshly, but I'm a teensy bit sad that we're possibly going to have to let our currently booked cruise go... it's a double dip at Castaway Cay....!

Nope. Others have reported their own "extenuating" circumstances and no dice.

Two years is two years. Period.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! :)
It is pretty doubtful that they would extend it. Is there any way you could travel earlier than that? I mean before that 24 week time frame of being allowed to travel on the ship as pregnant and to your planned sail date?
DCL seems pretty stringent on that 24 month policy whether by days or weeks.

thanks very much after the fact for the replies!

we re-booked our cruise last night...sadly without the discounts...but on the bright side, our previously booked cruise was during peak-pricing summer and by moving back, we are now going on a 7 night fantasy cruise for nearly the same price as our 5 night dream cruise (it would have been less expensive with the 10% off, but we're trying to not focus on that right now ;) )
