Cruise Budget ???

Wow. How much do the pictures cost? I assume this is the same as if your visiting WDW and using Photo Pass?....

Professional cruise pics are extrememly expensive, imo, and that's not only on DCL. I have found that to be the case with any cruiseline that I've cruised. At this time, DCL does not have Photo Pass. RUMOR is that it will be put in place by this fall. In the meantime, there are some packages you can buy on the ship, or of course you can purchase them individually.

We did the eastern in March and are a family of four. I bought a $1000 gift card for us from the Disney store long before we cruised and had it added to our onboard account so I could have our entire trip completely paid for before we left Kansas. Of course, I did end up spending more than the $1000. But not much! I think our total bill was just under $1200.

However, we did quite a few excursions--St. John, an island tour, an afternoon beach bash, and the family package that includes bicycling and snorkeling on CC. We also did Margarita tasting on the ship and did Palo brunch and dinner. I spent around $165 at Shutters on pictures (but they are GREAT pictures). I was also more lenient with souvenirs--t-shirts for the family, beach towels for the kids, and some scrapbooking stuff for me. We did have some drinks, but we don't drink all that much. DH got the refillable beer mug and I just had a few drinks of the day. My total does include tips and I should add that we did add cash to the tip envelopes as well because we had GREAT service on this cruise!

So, my point is, that if you plan ahead and know what excursions you'll be doing, you don't have to spend a ton of money. We went with the attitude that if we were doing this cruise, we were going to make sure to do the excursions we reallly wanted to do just in case we never go back. Yeah, right! You could easily go and spend much less than we did. Good luck!

ok well im gona have to come up with a way of haveing all the money befor I go, maybe a pre paid credit card or those disney cards. couse i dont have credit card only debit (and its my dads, i put my money on)

Any ways Im gona buy a good camra befor then, I hate to spend to much on photos when i can take alot on my own and brang them home to stephens mom who works with pics. and she can make them awsome..now if the dcl offers deals on photos and stuff i will get some. im planing on the 7day cruise that i wont spend more the 200 on photos. I hope not much more.

I dont drink alot excpicaly on my meds witch ill have to keep taking even on cruise..(oh better check doc make sure nausiea med wont affect it) well if i do drink ill limt to 2 drinks a day and one at night. (hay i like soda and been trying to drink these special k drinks to get more helthy)
My husbend dosnet drink much eather tho one or two drinks a day migth happine idk. (so im gona try to say 300 on drinks)

we are gona pay for excisins befor we go (i think, if we do any)
I know im gona spend 500-1000 on suviners, i think those disney cards sounded really good.)
I would probley have 4-500 for tips. i hope dont need that much but i also wouldnt want to rip ppl off they work for mostly tips. Im not rich so i probley wont be abel to give them 10-20 every time. I fill bad some times but cant help it.

We will not be useing phones so no charges like that will come up.

then i will need another 1000 for wdw when we get off ship couse come on you cant leave flordia with out going to wdw and giving more your money lol

I'll add that in my cruise budget, I've included the deposit for my next cruise! That way it's not financed and I can still enjoy the 10% discount and on-board credit offered while booking during your cruise!

We're budgeting for that as well. I hate missing on a great deal.
