The Key West Scavenger Hunt sounds like fun. My only reservation would be that we'll have DD2 with us. I'm not sure how she would do. We may just do the trolley tour. We'll have to wait and see

Ave--- Being snowed in we had nothing else to do but be on the DIS boards.

We finally were able to get out on Monday and get to work. Final total was 24" didn't beat the Feb 1983 snow, but is the second largest snow fall in our area. Once we got shoveled out, doesn't it snow 2 more inches on Monday morning. Enough already. It is to be up in the 40's this week, down right tropical weather. Hopefully, that is the last of the snow for the seaon.

The scavenger hunt looks like fun. Will run it by Norm and get back to you. Of course, he will probably just say whatever you want to do.

Elaine-- I have not heard from George and Barb. I should try to contact them and get together with them since they are only about 90 minutes away from us. Good luck with the decluttering. My house ( the living space) is in pretty good shape. Once it is warmer, need to tackel the garage, attic and work area. No heat in those spots right now and to cold to go there. I do want to get some more clothes together to take to the consignment shop. I decided that the better clothing I am taking there.

How are all the diet girls doing? Being couped up the past few days, I have overeaten so need to cut back. Though I did do my walk away the pounds video each day. That in my mind justified that I exercised so could eat more. Yea right. I wish it did work like that. So need to lose those few pounds to get into my spring clothes.

Fiona--- See you still haven't been able to get DS up for school. Are you counting the days till school is out so you don't have to deal with that.

Hope everyone got shoveld out. Mike, I'm hoping that once the snow melts that I will find my flowers starting to pop up through the ground. Katie's hidden mickey picture is so cute.

Now that you are "Official" - Welcome, Peter and Jenn!

I do not know why your room would be considered particularly noisy. You only have other rooms across from you - not a laundry or maintenance room, etc. You will be beneath <I>Lumiere's</I>, but with the exception of meal and set-up times, I would not think there would be noise, so it should not disturb your sleep. However, I do not know what is directly beneath you. If it is a loading/storage area, that could get very noisy early in the mornings just after docking. Maybe you could PM Dave and ask why it is on his list.

That's 8 people!, we need a minimum of 10 people to do this private tour. I know we'll have enough since it's so early and we'vwe gotten this quick response. We have some maybe's out there, so I'm sure we can get them to partake in the scavenger hunt with us. I called today to ask about the electric carts (additional charge), but they are away from the office until Tuesday February 25th. I'll call back then.

I don't know if we should meet on the ship first and then go out as a group and meet up with the Scavenger Hunt people on the pier or just meet directly outside. We arrive in Key West at 12:30 PM. We can discuss this further once we get 10 people or more (and a meeting time, too!).

Didn't have to worry about getting DS up this morning to catch his bus as we both had dentist appointments. Luckily neither of us had cavities so we are clear til August. My teeth hurt from all the picking though and of course my DS doesn't even brush his teeth before we went! I'm amazed he doesn't have any fillings but he doesn't. Just lucky.

Weather is a bit warmer today but still not above freezing. I think they said on the radio that we've only had one day above freezing since mid December. Unusual for here.

Pin collecting wouldn't be quite as bad except for the fact that when we went to WDW last April I started collecting beanies too. They sit on a shelf at the office since my dog thinks they are dog toys. Oh well we only live once.

Well since I just got to work I should probably check my messages and get going.

It's offical, we have our minimum 10 scavengers! Remember, there is no limit, the more the better. We all compete against each other, but go off on our own fact finding tour. I'll call on Tuesday and find out what's our next step. I'm sure it must be to pick a meeting time and place.

Do we want to meet the Scavenger people once the ship docks on the pier? That's probably the best thing. Or, should we meet on the ship and then go outside as a group. Whatever everyone thinks is best, I'll do.

PS: So, how many days until our wonderful cruise? 234 days! I wish it were sooner. This scavenger hunt is something that needs to be set-up beforehand.

Thank you for setting up this scavenger hunt! It sounds like so much fun, what happens if we don't make it into Key West do to weather? Would we still have to pay, or do they understand?

Group photo sounds good, but could we just take one with one of our cameras and then send copies to the others? Sorry I have to save money for Scott's spa appointments! See papa for info on this!

These are good questions! It's better to be prepared.

Let's find out how much the group picture costs and how it works? Not everyone is going to want it. We can always take one of ourselves.

I don't know how the money thing works. If they'll take a deposit from me or if they are going to want us to do it individually with them. And also, what happens if we don't make Key West. Remember, I'll know more on Tuesday.

Thanks Tina for doing all the work for the rest of us about the Scavenger Hunt. I had been looking at stuff to do in Key West but never saw this so I'm glad you're aboard. Waiting patiently til Tuesday for the answers to the questions. We won't need a cart because we are both exercising and dieting -- but doubt that we'll be buff by October. I'll just have to get one of those bikini t-shirts instead.

Dan when we get our scooters, those buffed health fanatics don't stand a chance. One push of the pedal and they are road kill One of the last things that they see will be us bearing down on them with the pedal to the metal. A couple of buckeye's and some krispy kreme donut's clinched tightly in our fists.

Hope that Cathy is doing better and Art is not too busy plowing snow off of the school parking lot.
