I have a fun Sat. night planned this weekend. Since I'm losing one of my team members, she is being moved to fill in where we lost a nurse, I thought it would be fun to have a "Girl's Night" So... this Sat. we are getting together at my house. We are sending Hubby and son to a movie. And we "my Starfish Team" are going to do manicures, pedicures, facials, watch "Chic Flick " movies, and eat pizza. I got My Big Fat Greek Wedding, and Legally Blonde. I'm really looking forward to it.

One more day to FRIDAY!!!!!!

Scootersmom - Those bubbles looked cute. When we were in Omaha many years ago, I believe that Oriental Trading Company was a place we actually visited. We are heading out to Omaha again this summer. Maybe we should pop in there again and see what else they may have that we can pick up. The website didn't seem to have a whole lot from what I remember being in the warehouse. (Or maybe I just didn't explore the site fully enough.)

Dan! Wondered where you and Scott have been hiding. Did we scare Tammy and Missy away? Do they visit us and not post. Oh, and don't forget, when you get that code for the Radisson, you offered to book a room for the Tuli's... on your charge card but of course. Isn't he a great guy everyone?!!

Nancy and Cathy - We are scheduled to get some of that Pennsylvania snow too. Hoping it bypasses us. Stay warm and safe and think tropical island thoughts.

Cathy hope that the paw is doing better and I still haven't heard anything from Disney so I guess no news is good news Has Ashlee been outside chasing the deer?

today they showed a lady from England on TV, who has a 110%-Dalmatian-spleen. She only wears white with spots, her car is painted like a Dalmatian, her house is tearing apart at the seams due to all the Dalmatian souvenirs and she watches 101 Dalmatians as often as she can

I saw the last hour of the Jackson interview last night. What a creep!!!
I do not belive ANY doctor would say it was fine to take that baby just after birth! There are a few things that need to be done when a child is born. But when you look at all the other lies he told...what's one more??
I do not belive those childen he claims as his are his. I have seen so many mixed race children and I have NEVER seen one with blond hair! The mothers of those children SOLD them to that creep.It make me very sad! And the parents of the 12 y/o boy who sleeps with the creep..WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?????!!!!
I would love to see an interview with them!
The man is SO out of touch with reality! PLEASE! 2 surgeries???!!!

Jacko is an absolute weirdo. He shocked our country a couple of months ago, when he held his baby out of a hotel window in Berlin to show it to the fans and the kid nearly slipped out of his hands. I think he was in the 3rd floor

Mary ... I agree FULLY about Michael Jackson. He ain't wrapped too tight. If he really is "all about the children" why dosen't he let them go out without the masks, accompanied by their "real mother" .... don't believe too many people would look twice. Such a shame that he is messing up those little kids minds, etc .... what he's doing "just ain't right".

Last night I sent the RADISSON an e-mail asking for the cheapest rates available for 10+ room booking, etc. My DSIL gave me some info about her Carnival Cruise Group rates and I'm trying to see if we can get the same. I'll let everyone know as soon as I get more from them.

This weekend, Art has me going with him to a WoodWorking Show ... I mean Big Kid Toy Show! Hope it dosen't get too costly.

Dan - I, too, am doing a warm-up cruise before <I>Cruisetoberfest II</I>. I am on the Sept. 28th 4-day in my favorite stateroom - 7628.

On Michael Jackson: I don't usually watch much TV, but forced myself to watch the <I>entire</I> show (even the interview with a plastic surgeon at the very end of the last 20/20 segment) and could not believe how wacko he has become. He was a super-talented kid who grew into an outstanding performer (<I>Thriller</I> music video, etc.). I have always <I>loved</I> to watch him dance. But now, he has "evolved" into nothing less than a total freak. Two plastic surgeries? - Maybe multiplied by 10 or 20! As for his "blanket" - Imagine being an infant trying to take a bottle when you are being smothered and shaken half to death. When I think about how many "unfit" parents have their children taken aaway from them, and yet Jackson (who can't possibly be the real father, IMHO) gets away with THIS . . .!

ABOUT THE RADISSON

Just hung up with Stan - from Radisson @ Cape Canaveral. We got a group rate of $89 for a regular room, $119 for a 2 room suite. You just have to wait until later this afternoon to book it ... he said he needs a little time to get it into their computer system.

You have to tell them you are with the CRUISETOBRFEST Group.
You can call them at Cape Canaveral direct .. 321-784-0000
or use the 800-333-3333 # but have them make a note on your being part of the CRUISETOBRFEST group.

At present he is putting aside 10 regular rooms and 2 suites ... if we need more he'll put a block on more for us.

Closer to the actual sailing, we can contact them and if there is an extra room available ... we can have a room for a meet. BUT if we want to schedule one now, we'll have to pay $150 ... I think we can wait and see if there is one for FREE!

Hope I didn't step on anyone's toes in trying to get us this group rate. Just wanted to help out all my DIS family!

Hi Everyone!!

Cathy -- thanks for getting us the rate. Do we have to book right away or can we wait for a bit? Waiting to see if I get a bonus and/or raise this year. They aren't very quick about it. Last year got a bonus at the end of February but the raise wasn't given til I think April -- although it was backdated to January 1st. Depends of the budget and I don't think it's set yet by the partners.

Eric -- I feel your pain about the dentist. Have to go on the 19th and am praying that he doesn't have to do anything this time around -- the last few times he's replaced fillings which is better than your torture but still not pleasant.

Hope everyone else is warm and toasty -- we are as long as we are indoors. It's supposed to snow tonight but today is just plain cold and very windy.

Have to get some work done I guess. Thrilled that it's Friday and I can sleep in tomorrow.

You just reserve the room now, with a credit card, and you have until 6 PM the night of 10-10 to cancel before they bill your credit card. You don't have to actually pay now!

I'm going to make my reservation in a half hour or so ... to allow Stan from the Radisson enough time to get our CRUISETOBERFEST rate into their computer system.

OOKAAY!!!! We are IN like Flint!!!! Thank you so much Cathy!!! I had to go through the 800 number because the ressies department at the Radisson was closed. Of course, 1-800 ressies department did not have the Cruisetoberfest group rate listed but she booked me at that rate and said I would be contacted if there was a problem.

I just want to confirm: Does this include the parking for the cruise too?

They allow you to park your car for the cruise there at the Radisson for your room rate. As parking is $10 per day at the port, you are saving 70 bucks. Getting your room for 19 plus tax is not a bad deal.

Cathy I owe you a chicken finger dinner once we get on the magic Or a plate of fruit from scoops!!!!!!!!!

Hi Mike! Thanks for the info on parking. That's good to know. Actually, at first I was saying, what is he talking about: a room for 19 plus tax and then Rich explained to me how you deducted the cost of parking from it. I am not good with numbers!! Good thing I have him to keep me informed.

I just spoke with Dan to let him know about Cathy's great deal. I didn't realize I was calling his cell phone and called him at work!! However, as the boss, he was fine with that and thought the rates were great and will be making their ressies later tonight.

I also thought Ave and Mary were going to Hilton Head THIS weekend unti I read of Ave's plans for tomorrow night. How come they can rent "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" down in Florida and it will not be out on DVD (or VCR) until February 11th up here!??!?! Unfair!!!
