Well, I lied! It *won't* be in the lower 70's by the end of the week... It will be in the lower 70's by tomorrow!!!!!
 :p :smooth:

Well, I was trying to catch Tulirich up with all these posts but we only made it to page 90 when he decided he needed his beauty sleep. I gotta catch him up with all the going-ons here. I told him he won't know anybody or anything if he doesn't keep up with the thread.

Once I get him caught up, I gotta try and get him to post more often.

So you better let him sleep for a couple of months :jester:

Folks,
Passporter also published a guidebooke for the cruiseline,
here's the link : JUST CLICK IT!!

Perhaps we all should mention that we're a group, perhaps we're in for a special rebate!!

An observation .... By the time we finally meet either at the Raddison or the Ship, we are going to realllllllllllllllllllllllllly know each other very well from this thread. Seems that more and more people are getting involved each day, feeling more relaxed about chatting and "letting it all hang out" about their lives. (ERIC, behave, I know what you are thinking!)

It now seems before you do a post, you need to keep a cheat sheet of who you want to say what to. Well here goes..........

Chris ... Check your private messages.

Nancy ...Glad Norm is feeling better and will be in "speed walk" shape for the cruise. When you are done with your house, you can come to mine! I guess I'd have a better chance if we weren't so limited to how much we can get taken away each week by the garbage guy.

Kathy ... Us Northerners don't get grits unless we are at Cracker Barrel. Then we don't know how to eat them ... should be direction in the menu!

Ave ...Good luck with the 2nd job. That takes a special person to be able to work at a group home. We have some near us that we go to as a group with the Fire Company and it's tough to be there very long without getting sad.

Ave ... Did the pooch come home OK? AshLee is concerned .... she remembers when she was MIA during the middle of the night!

Fion ... That is awfully sad abut the baby ... But at the same time at least she was found in time and may get to a family that truly wants a child. Hope the mother gets some help and an appropriate punishment for such stupidity.

Eric ... The Baby Door idea should be all over the world. Such a good idea and such an easy way to administer it. It's great to say you can leave the baby at a hospital but there are people out there that don't want to be seen dropping off the baby.

Eric ... Gramps birthday sound like so much fun. I'm sure he'll love it having such nice "flight atendants"!

Dan ... As soon as you get the discount codes for the Raddison, let us all know, cause that was so much fun last year the night before DIS Cruisears!

Back to work ......

Looking forward to staying at the radisson and then joining the rest of our dis friends on the cruise. We need to cruise:bounce:

I guess that I use too much nutrasweet as the memory comes and goes;) handy if the wife asks you to do something:p I have not started a book Cathy, so I have trouble keeping up with the correct people so if I connect an action or idea with the wrong person just overlook me.

All of our snow is finally gone. Scarlet is running well and I have some extra diesel fuel conditioner in the trunk or bonnet as the British say just in case. Here is a saying for you Rosemary "Scarlet is feeling finer than frog hair split four ways."

Art I felt dumber than a sack of hammers for forgetting to condition the fuel the morning it jelled.

Eric the water is only about 4 feet deep where you swim with the stingrays. You kind of stand still and just feed them some squid. Do not put any of the squid in your bathing suit or you will have some explaining to do as the rays feed by sucking the squid from your hands.

Elaine hope that your house sale went through and you guys are able to start building soon. Nancy if you get through with your house mine could use your talents on de-cluttering. We have lived here since 1974 and it hasn't had a real good going through in a while. I still have a bunch of boxes in the attic. Never know when you might have to send a computer or vcr back to be repaired. Mike

To all:

I spoke to the Radisson at the Port today, I asked them if they do any group rates. I was told that group rates start at a minimum booking of 7 rooms, however I need to talk to group sales. I am going to hopefully call them again tomorrow during business hours and TRY to get us a group rate.

Is this OK with everyone? I guess if lower prices come out we could just all rebook at the lower cost.

Dan

Sounds great Dan. Dan, Dan the marathon man. Mike

Sounds great Dan. Count us in!:D We got the "King Suite" last year for 109.00 or 119.00:confused:

I just went through the DIS List and marked who was on previous cruises. I put a C I (Cruisetoberfest I) a CE (CruiseEars) underneath the room # . So far Papa, @GoofyNut and RellingTwin (me;) ) are the only ones who will have been on all 3 cruises!!

Mike...glad you car is feeling better:p

Also keep and eye out for missy and tammy to start posting! Tammy told me that she would post tomorrow (Thursday!) Now if only I can get Chuck and Dean to start posting!

Dan

Dan, The Raddison group rate thing sounds great, count us in! We had such a great time there last year! We got there around 8pm wich was 3 hours ahead of schedule, (we speeded ;) ). But we will be arriving earlier this year.
A friend from work is leaving next week for a 3 or 4 day Carnival Cruise out of Port Canaveral. I'll just a little jelouse.
Cathy, the dog got home OK, thanks for asking.
Got to run and feed the family. Later, Ave'

Great Work, Mary!!
Can you send me a copy, please? I'll put into the next update.

Dan, count us in for the Radisson deal. We are now planning to be at the port the night before.

Gotta run.

Fiona

DAN ... YOU THE MAN :bounce: Please count us in for the Raddison too. It was so much fun last year around the pool.....letting the "Magic" begin a day early never hurt anyone :smooth:

Ave ... Glad the pooch got home OK ..... I know when AshLee did that she was shell shock for a few days and was sooooooooo good. Call it a reality check!

About the Raddison ... My DSIL goes on Carnival Cruises and they also go to the Raddison the night before. SO the idea that DAN had is a great one. At least that way, we'll all be able to get hour rooms. I have to ask her, she mentioned that they got a room for their "meet".

Kathy / Mike ... I put all my DIS stuff in a little planner binder that I got at an Ollie's Store. It has the stuff from our first CRUISETOBERFEST.

Eric ... If Mary dosen't have a copy of last year's DIS Cruisears, I still have one.

Well gotta try and find the bottom of this mess on my desk .....

Cathy with @ C

Dan count us in on the Radisson as we loved to meet our dis friends the night before. Also it is a great place to leave the car.

We have a visit or two for nurses for newborns today and Kathy and Stacey are getting together again to do some scrap-booking. I will try to wrestle with the little Katie monster;)

The radisson meet the night before the cruise was great. We saw quite a few of our fellow diser's. Ave slow it down this year girl. We would hate for you to lose some of your cruise money on the way down to port Canaveral.

Cathy with @C try not to work too hard today and hope that the paw is doing better. Tell Arca to keep the lots cleared off so that the little ankle bitters can go to school to give their parents a break.:teeth: Mike

We were on the second page!

Eric - I like the door idea. I know it was talked about here a while back but I don't think anything was ever done. I don't think that the solution is charging the mother criminally because that certainly doesn't make them want to come forward after the baby is found. It sounds like in this case anyway that the mother has some mental illness issues which I hope will be dealt with.

Nancy -- I'm admiring your decluttering progress. I'm afraid I haven't made much progress for the last week or so.

My SIL is ill -- she's having gallbladder problems which have also affected her pancreas. I'm going up to their house tomorrow to look after her and the two kids -- my niece is 2.5 and my nephew is just 5 months. Love them but am glad to hand them back over -- my DS is 16 so I'm not used to diapers etc. Just pizza in the middle of the night.:p Woke up last night to the smell of pizza. Since he and his friends were not awake this morning when I left I haven't confirmed that they did indeed order a pizza in the early am -- wouldn't have been the first time. They are 'celebrating' the end of exams for the term. New term starts Monday though.

Should go back to work -- I'm in the process actually of decluttering my drawers in my office. Had to find a form and couldn't so that was the incentive.

Fiona

Dan ... Spoke with DSIL and the Carnival group went with the group rate. They also got a room FREE for their meet. They had arranged for "drinks" (they had to pay for the bartender unless their total bill was over $600) and they ordered some munchies and snacks that the Raddison catered for a fee. If you don't mind when you are asking how we register as part of a group, could you check on a room for a group meet? Thank You so much.

Hope we aren't scaring away any of your friends!

OK I called the Radisson today and basically she quoted me the same price that is on the internet! What's up with that, I wanted to laugh but held my composure. So maybe Cathy (@GoofyNut) can ask her SIL how they got the discount/room.

Sorry guys but I tried.

Dan

Guys I emailed the rates for the radisson that were on their website to some of you. The cheapest rate so far is $99.00 US for a one night stay. I have also invited Rae 519 who was on the cruisears cruise last year to join our merry band of pirates. She will be getting back with us.

Mike
