I never saw Lilo and Stitch. BUT YOU WOUND ME TO THE CORE WITH YOUR COMMENT!!! You know I would kill to protect you. Hey!! We just saw Monsters Inc. for the first time ever! LOVED IT. What a GREAT movie! Sully is MY hero!!!

Hey, gotta sign off for a bit. Maybe try to get back on later tonight but no promises. Night night and sweet dreams all, especially you Dan!!:)

p.s. - Eric, see what you miss by being six hours ahead of us!

iS THIS ANYONE TO ACT IN FRONT OF OUR NEW GUESTS!!!!!

Dopeysgal, please forgive the children in the crowd and welcome to this crazey group.

And I was worried about some of the behavior from my group!! Seems like we are going to fit in very well (maybe too well).

:bounce:

Rosemary,

please make that 6 hours and about 200 years :jester:

Talking about movies: That wrestling match between you and your "brother" reminds me of the fight between Sly and Hulk Hogan in Rocky III :p

Papa,

thanks so much for getting the pin: This is like Xmas coming 10 weeks early :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Dan - Did you get any sleep last night, poor baby. Those 5 a.m. shifts are killers!

Susan514 - Late again!!! So your scolding doesn't count. LOL

DopeysGal - If you were worried about some of the behavior from your group, you gotta make sure they check out the DIS and get logged onto this site too. Why should Dan and I be the only ones to display such immaturity in a public forum?!

oookaaay. Not quite sure how to respond to that!!!

OK, how many of you guys have booked your room with DREAMS for this cruise?

I am thinking that we will book on board and then transfer it to DREAMS so that requests can be made more easily! Maybe someone will want to sit with us LOL (OK maybe not!)

When we did the "Official DIS Cruise" in December 2000 we also had a private cocktail hour for all of us. Would this be a possibility for our cruise? Would anyone be interested in this? Am I nuts?

Also I think that our cruise name should be............................................................................................................Cruisetobefest II
A Reunion of Friends

What do you guys think? Oh my we have so much to do in the next year! This is going to be one HELL of a cruise!

Dan

COCKTAIL-HOUR?
You don't have to ask us twice!!! We're in for it!!! I take a Konk Cooler and Anja will have a Pina Colada - YumYum.

I like that motto. Perhaps we could use a similar style as last time: Cruisetoberfest II with the sailing date on the front and "A reunion of friends" on the backside.

I did not book with DU, because I am my own TA and book directly with DCL. I guess that would leave me out of the private cocktail hour.:(

My cruise is already paid in full (Yaaaay!). :teeth:

As for the name: <I>Cruisetoberfest II: A Reunion of Friends</I>. That's nice but kind of leaves out those of us who will be meeting this group for the first time! Oh, well - At least I'll probably meet <B>alikat99</B> at MNSSHP and <B>jmalk</B> on our <a href="http://www.primateprojections.com/travel/DISlist.html">Halloween Wonder</A> cruise! :bounce:

We also won't be booking with DU, because we'll be using our DVC points. Heck, we can't even book until next month and it's killing me!!

I do love the name/logo, but like Taswira, I feel kinda left out since we're newbies.

Taswira - We definitely hope to see you at the AP party for MNSSHP on the 27th!!!

And, if anyone else is going to be at WDW anytime between now and our cruise next year, let us know. We're only 1.5 hours away, so we go there quite frequently, and we would love to meet some people ahead of time.

Take care...

OK, I am sorry to the newbies of the bunch. However as the year goes on we will all be friends.

If this makes the new ones feel uneasy then lets just scrape the idea.

Dan

<B>alikat99</B> - Yes, I'll definitely be at the AP party and MNSSHP on the 27th. Since I'll be in FL from Oct. 15 to Nov. 19 (except for two Wonder cruises), I'll probably be at WDW at least a dozen times during those 5 weeks.

<B>Dan</B> - It doesn't make me feel uneasy. At first mention it did, because I haven't met anyone going on that cruise yet. But I'll have met alikat99 and jmalk and maybe others before then. I think if there end up being newbies who don't know <I>anyone</I> on the cruise, then yes, the "reunion" part might cause some discomfort. Maybe "a gathering & reunion," but then there might not be room (on the shirts) for the "friends" part. (?)

Hello all of our fellow cruisemates. We are booking this cruise while we are onboard. Dan and Scott we would be honored to sit with you and break bread(and fingers too if you are reaching for the last piece of bread in the bowl;) )

Our schedule is a stop in San Juan in the am and St. Thomas on wed. Art and Cathy are celebrating their 30th anniversary today and look like they are having a blast.

Take care and we will see you tomorrow. Mike and Kathy

Just back from our trip to WDW and can't wait to go on the cruise. I'm jealous of all those who are cruising beforehand.

We are newbies and don't mind the reunion reference -- you all are friends we just haven't met yet in person. I don't think that we'll meet anyone beforehand unless someone decides to come visit us in the Great White North -- your $ would go very far up here btw.

Looking forward to next October and hoping the days pass very quickly.

Definitely don't scrap the idea, I do think that it's great!!! I agree with Taswira that after a year of chatting back and forth, we'll all be friends by then!!!

Dan, I am pretty sure all 15 of us (6 families) booked through DU...I know for a fact that 4 families did. And I can just about guarantee that you would have 5, and possibly 7, of us for a cocktail hour. Whether new friends or old, it would be a blast. When did you have it last time?

Wish we could make it to WDW before next October but DS and I were just there in April for 9 days. Our next cross country trip will be the cruise, unless I win the lottery before then.:D We did go to Disneyland last weekend...lots of remodeling going on in Fantasyland and lots of attractions closed. Matterhorn, Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones, many others. It was the least crowded I can remember in years...we literally walked onto most of the rides. Luckily, Space Mountain was open.

Tulirose raises hand. We did for the very first time (usually go through AAA) and are very pleased thus far. We have even been informed recently that our rate went down 100 bucks! Thanks Cathy! (Did you guys know that Cathy from DU is in real life WebmasterCathyCanada? I didn't know that!)

Okay, I got to learn to slow down my reading and check every word. I was getting myself all upset because I thought you were referring to the original Cruisetoberfest cruise and I couldn't for the life of me remember having any private cocktail hour! (But maybe we did and I had a REALLY GOOD time! ;) )

This would be a really neat idea but I bet the powers that ran the "Official DIS Cruise" in December of 2000 paid extra for whatever room and servers were used in this private affair. But it really would be nice to plan some sort of time where a bunch who want can get together for drinks and chatting. I bet we can figure out something we can do. We are going to have to give this some serious thinking.

A Reunion of Friends
I loved it immediately but also immediately had the same thought already expressed on this thread regarding the cruisers who didn't sail last September. I think we might be able to tweak it just a bit to Cruisetoberfest II - A Gathering of Friends
or
Cruisetoberfest II - A Voyage of Friends

or something like that?? What do you guys think about that?

<B>Tulirose</B> - I LIKE the "<I>Gathering of Friends</I>" OR "<I>Voyage of Friends</I>." Both sound GREAT! But I won't pitch a fit if "Reunion" is the choice. We "newbies" to the group will understand. ;)

<B>As for the private cocktail party</B> - DCL DOES currently offer a "<I>one hour reception with open bar and hors d'oeuvres</I>" as an option (as opposed to the steamer trunk or bottle of wine in the stateroom) if eight or more cabins are booked for a <B>FAMILY REUNION</B>. Price is $29 per person for 1st and 2nd passengers, $19 per person for additional guests travelling in the same stateroom. In addition, Family Reunion members receive a personalized DCL Family Reunion T-shirt (one per person), leather photo portfolio with complimentary photo (one per stateroom), & commemorative DCL family reunion certificate (one per person). Booking code is "FAMILY." Sooooo - Maybe with some manipulating, we could all be one big family reunion and have a nice private party with open bar CHEAP (compared to the price of drinks onboard). If not, it looks like those who booked with DU might be the only ones at the party.

Had a truely MAGICAL cruise on 9/21/02. This was our 5th cruise and each one just keeps on getting better. Of course the CAT 2 room was really nice too.

I see the Cruisears have been re-routed and getting two days at Castaway Cay. That shouldn't be to hard to take. That will also make the Cruisetoberfest II the first Western for most of us. On 9/21 there was a tropical depression south of St. Maarten that initially cause some possiblity of re-routing, but it turned out to be okay.

Welcome to the DopeysGal and any other new comers to our growing group.

Now Taswira, don't go knocking grey hair. I may hve not been born grey, but I earned each and everyone of my grey hairs.....teenagers :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: Besides, better grey hair than no hair

Eric, Anja, sounds like you had a GREAT vacation too. Glad you were able to use the Mickey tie again. I gave each of my brother-in-laws one on the 9/21 cruise.
