Renae, I use a hole punch to put a hole in my KTTW card. This way I can attach it to our lanyards. It makes it easier for the kids (and adults too!) to keep up with our KTTW cards (room keys)

If you do not want your kids to charge, you must bring their KTTW cards to guests services. It is NOT enough to tell them when you check in at the port.I know about this! The kids bought a "PILE" of arcade cars, thankfully they had not used them so I was able to have the 100.00 charge removed from my bill.

Just don't put the hole in the magnetic strip and you'll be fine.

Dan your countdown clock looks GREAT!

Ave and everyone else, Kathy and I want to thank everyone that have worked so hard to make this cruise special. This is going to be one super get together.

Washed and vacuumed out the car today and I am dragging out the big suitcase and start some packing for the trip:boat:

*Place and time?
We are going to meet on Sunday, October 12th, 2003 at 1PM at the Hilton Hotel which is to the right of the red brick building (Custom House) as you leave the ship. We will meet the Scavenger Hunt people at the Hilton's "Sunset Deck" above the Hilton Restaurant "Bistro 245". They will be there to check you in 15-20 minutes ahead of time. Just follow the boardwalk behind the hotel overlooking the ocean and head up the stairs. Their staff will be wearing red scavenger hunt shirts. The Magic usually docks in front of the Hilton Hotel. The hunt lasts from 1 PM to 4 PM. Remember to wear your ScavengEar t-shirts.

NOTE: for ALL the info, please go to page 422.

See you real soon!
Tina :)

What a year!!! I can't believe it's almost time to cruise!
It's been so much fun, planning, talking and sharing with friends, and making new friends. :chat:
These next few days will just fly by, and next thing I know we will be:boat:
Watch out Magic, here we come!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
See ya soon, Ave'

So here I sit surfing the net when I should be packing for my meeting! I will be taking my laptop so I can keep an eye on you guys and make sure you don't get too rowdy.

Dan

OK, I'm done shopping with that kid... I've never seen a boy so picky about his clothes. We shopped for over 4 hours and brought him home ONE PAIR OF PANTS!!! Sheesh. He'll have to make due with what he's got and HE'LL be doing laundry.

Did pick up a couple more scrapbooking items that were really cute and I'm ready.

Now, I'm in a quandry. Thinking about a new digital camera. But if I do it, I'm going to get something GOOD. That means spending $1K or more and dang, I don't know if it's worth it. I mean, I love snapping pics, but I'm no amatuer photographer or anything. I'd sure love a decent camera though. I CAN'T DECIDE!

Oh well, just another thing to stress me out over the next couple of days.

...and my husband is getting ready too! He and my younger DS just bought a "Freedom Pass" from Blockbuster Video so they'll be playing xbox games the entire time we're gone!!!

Anyone who has 2 kids knows that one kid is always closer to mom and one is closer to dad and that's very evident in our family. My younger boy is definately his father's son and my older boy is my best friend. My son and I are going to have a great time, but it's only going to be rivaled by my hubby and his younger boy here at home. They're going to have a blast while we're gone as well!

I think this is truly a vacation for all of us.

Cannot leave home until I know the answer to this question!!!

Will we be able to watch SURVIVOR while on board? Does the ship's TV get Channel 2??? I really really need to know this!!!

Oh NO!!! I just realized... Survivor is on at 8. Dinner starts at 8, doesn't it?? OH NO!!!! Should I eat or watch Survivor???? What restaurant do you think we will be in on Thursday evening? Is that the second formal night? I have no clue and normally would just wing it while on board but Survivor is throwing a monkey wrench into things!

(Don't mean to sound like a total idiot. DH will set the VCR at home to record. Was just hoping to catch the show while at sea but I have a feeling that will not be the case)

Hi Gang!! I just sent the final CRUISETOBER II list. Mherdeen (Michael) has sent me his and his families info. Although we have had a few "Late joiners" Michael is the only one who has sent me info.
If anyone dose not get it, let me know and I can forward just the additional info for you to add.

Okay, Nothing like last minute Rosie here.... The book that came with the docs doesn't really explain it well and it has been two years since I cruised and I forget. I'm trying to decide on dinner clothing and I can't make up my mind.

One formal night, right?
Another semi-formal night, right?
A tropical Mexican theme night, right?

That leaves four more nights. How do I dress for these night? Answer asap would be very much appreciated. (Hey, at least it's not Wednesday night with me asking these questions).

Rosemary,I think the term "resort casual" applies. Ladies are asked to wear dresses or pantsuits. No Jeans or shorts.

Question I should know the answer to: which night is which night on board? i.e. which is formal, semi-formal, captain's gala, mexican? Need to figure out which clothes for which night..

Thanks!:bounce:

Hi, all!

Four days from now, we'll be on a plane heading for Orlando!

Mary-- Thanks for getting the updated list out to us. I was able to open the Word version just fine, but having trouble with the PDF, not sure why.

Rosemary-- You are right, one formal night, one semi-formal night, one mexiwhatever night and four casual nights. I think they suggest casual clothing, but not jeans and no shorts. So, we're doing dockers and golf shirts for the guys and I have some casual dresses and a nice pair of slacks with a blouse for those nights.

Can't believe how fast this year has flown by, although it sure seemed like it was dragging along there for a while! A huge thanks to everyone who's planning will make this a fantastic cruise for all of us. Getting anxious to meet everyone!

Colleen

Okay, I'm really not stressing here but I have TOO MANY FANCY DRESSES!!!!!

I'm not suppose to get dressed fancy every night, am I? Everytime I go in my closet, I find another dress, I "bought for the cruise"! LOL! I forgot I had all these fancy dresses. What a nice dilema!

Can I wear a fancy dress to the Palo brunch??? :hyper: :hyper:

And meanwhile, I find nothing for the Tropical festival night!

would not count on being able to watch one our favorite shows while on board SURVIVOR set the vcr TULIROSE

4 more days of work and we leave thursday evening

I've received another number for the cell phone list, so I'll be sending out the last update tomorrow.

If anyone else would like their number added to the list and receive a copy of the list in their email, please send me an email or PM with the info.

Thanks!

Colleen

Well, some last minute things for us too. We finally made reservations for Friday night at the Hilton Lake Buena Vista (across the street from Downtown Disney). Chris has tons of Hilton points, so we're staying for free.

I was going to try to start packing tonight, but life has been crazy today with Emily's birthday. I can't believe my baby is 2.

I'm starting to feel overwhelmed with everything that I need to get done, and I'm really not feeling that fantastic. I'm sure that it's just exhaustion, but I need to shake this soon, so I can enjoy my cruise.

As for the casual dinner nights, I have 2 different pant suits and on 2 nights I'm wearing capris with nice tops. And, for the mexicali night, I just have a blue tropical print capri outfit that my mom made for me. I hope it works.

Another quick question: For those of you sitting at the "Other Table" with Jeff and I, Jeff was wondering, as he scoped out the wine packages and such, what ya'll were planning on doing for drinks at night? I wasn't to enamoured with the wine packages, but some of the wines on the open wine list were interesting. Thanks!:chat:

Rosemary my dear stressed out friend if you want to wear a fancy dress to Palo's brunch by all means do so. As a pretty young lady, anything will look good on you as you stroll on board with your young looking husband. Don't have a stroke child:hyper: Take a deep breath relax and just think about the sound of the waves lapping against the side of the ship. The wind gently blowing across the deck, the moonlight reflecting off of the ocean waves.

This is a vacation after all, not something to stress over. Just take a prozac, a valium and a margarita in hand and enjoy life. The main problem will be the DCL employees trying to figure out what to do with this fun loving group.

Mary it is your responsibility to corral the crew members and tell them that all of this stuff is not being sold. Hate to have to come down to the brig to bring you a cold one.::yes:: I have an envelope that I will write on that says bail money;)

I hope DCL suprises us with the Golden Mickey's! That would be so awesome to have a new show since lots of us are returning cruisers and have seen the other shows before. They are still great, but a new show would be wonderful! Especially since Golden Mickey's is getting such great reviews. It makes perfect sense, too. A new show right after dry dock, with the new coffee house, teen club and other improvements.

I'm going to be optimistic, if if I get let down, it will be OK I'm still on the Magic.
Tina :)

FYI on this, Eyes and Ears (The official WDW Cast Paper) stated December for the Magic.
