Just had to post, haven't been out here in such a long time and I'm getting REALLY EXCITED!!!!! Someone slap some sense back into me....
 
Andy and I will be going to MNSSHP also on the 10th. 8:00 pm at Tinkerbells Treasure Shop sounds great. It'll be the meet before the meet. We already have our tickets....

I'm starting to get into my prevacation funk..too much to do and plan and too little time to do it in(but it always works out in the end). Also I'm at the stage at work where I just can't wait to get out of here for a much needed vacation.

I think it's fair to say the excitment is cranked up a notch! Eric and Anja will be leaving Germany soon, logo t-shirts have been made, and shopping for the cruise has begun!

21 days until vacation begins
22 days until our meet at the Radisson
23 days until we board the ship!

Hope, we would love a door logo too!:cool:

Tina, let us know if/when the meeting place changes for the HUNT! I'm going to call KW in the next few days to rent the electric car.

Three weeks from now we'll have been on the road for about an hour (we hope). Got to leave early enough to miss that rush hour traffic.

Did I read something about name tags? There's no way I can remember everyone's name.
 

Is there any events on board that the children "dress up"? On the twins site I help moderate someone is auctioning off a Minnie Mouse costume/outfit, it's my daughter's size, and I could probably get it for a real good price.

But do I really need it? Is there anywhere she'd wear it on board? Or should I save my $$ for some smoothies instead!! ;)
 
My DD4 will be wearing either Cinderella or Snow White to one of the formal nights. I have heard that there are a lot of little girls that dressed up in the princess costumes!
 
I didn't even think of that. I think we still have one or two that might fit her packed away in our Halloween stuff. I'll have to check -- that's a great idea! I hope I didn't Ebay all of them last year, figuring I'd never need them. :confused:

I have Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Belle and Minnie Mouse costumes for Haley to wear to dinner on the cruise. I got them 75% off at the DS last year. It's cheaper doing that than buying her dresses that she'll outgrow and only wear once. I even got her the crowns and wands, though she probably won't use them.
 
Good news for Jim is that he can go on vacation. Dr. told him to have a good time. Unfortunately he has to go back in November because the doctor didn't have the results of the stress test yet. We don't pay for health care here but sometimes things are slow. Anyway the doctor says that he has high blood pressure and the rest is probably caused by stress and have fun on vacation. Can't tell you how relieved I am although Jim is still frustrated because he still gets 'attacks' every once in a while.

Eric -- thanks for the lists and all the hard work you've done over the past year. I realized that I forgot to email you that we are staying at the Radisson the night before -- made the reservation so we will make it there at some point on the 10th.

We will be going back to WDW after the cruise and staying for a week at CBR so will be going to the Food and Wine Festival. We are going back to WDW driving our own car since we are driving down to Florida -- we take too much to fly!!

Arlene -- Understand completely how you are feeling. Yesterday was a bad day at work and I really wished we were leaving today but oh well I'll survive. I've started a list but am scared to finish it because it will be too long! Everything works out in the end but there's a lot of stress beforehand that's for sure.

We will be at MNSSHP on the 10th also. Meeting near Tinkerbell's Treasures shop at 8 pm sounds good to me. Haley will be Minnie Mouse.

Alright, where is everyone else for MNSSHP on the 10th? I know there are more out there. We'll be dressed as Peter Pan, Wendy & Tinkerbell, so you shouldn't miss us.

3 days to go
2 workdays for me and 1 for Anja :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Today I did a routine check of our flights on the Delta-homepage and found out that they changed our aircraft type for the return flights: A 757 instead of an MD80 for the leg from MCO to Cincinnati, meaning that Anja & I have to share a 3-seat-row with someone instead of having a two-seater for us:( OK, that's bearable, but on the flight from Cincinnati to Frankfurt they switched from a 777 to a 767, which means that there is no Personal Entertainment System :mad: Additionally they moved us from an exit row with plenty of legroom to a regular row :eek:

my colleague didn't get any badges or other police-related stuff. I'm a bit :mad: at him because he also proved to be unreliable in other things in the last weeks.
I'm really sorry about that :(

OK gang, I've posted the list, and PM'ed all host/hostesses with the vital info. So far I've only got one request for a minor change. If there is anyone out there who is unhappy with thier table, wants to drop out, or wants to join in, now is the time to speak-up.

I can't believe we are but weeks away from cruiseing!

Arlene, I know what you mean about the sometimes overwhelming task of getting everything together for a vacation. I have resolved to do one thing, every day, big or small, to get ready. That way on the day before we leave I'll only have 1000 things to do instead of 1025 things to do. LOL

What a day! Why is it everything breaks at the same time? DH truck needs repairs, so while waiting for a part to do the needed repairs we are sharing my car. Then the dryer broke, now the bathtub is leaking! CALGON TAKE MR AWAY!LOL!

I also started a list of the things that I need to do the next 3 weekends.:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
 
I'm just trying to decide what I need to do! I don't know what to take......I am stressing! I know, clothes, medicines, books, ziplocs, clock, nightlights..........My dh thinks I am packing the whole house. But, in my defense, I am packing for four people!

I have a sub for sure for the 9th. DH isn't going into work on the 9th either. He is afraid if he goes in, he'll never get to leave! So, kids aren't going to school either. We will be on the road by 8 AM!!!

No documents yet.............I really, really want my documents!!

Better go check on my brownies!!

Hope, You can skip the nightlight unless your kids just have to have it. We just left the bathroom light on with the door crack a bit and there was plenty of light to find your way to the bathroom, or whatever.
I was the same way last year before our first cruise. And no one could tell me not to bring the things on my list. I also was packing for 4.
Here's what I'm doing this year. I'm packing just like last year, but when I Unpack in the stateroom I will keep one large empty bag on the bed. Anything I think or hope I won't need will go into that bag. And then that bag is going under the bed.
Problem solved, me the compusive planner, packer, worrier, get to bring everything I want. And all my extra stuff is out of the way.
Remember, you have the Dis group with you. If you forget something or need something, just ask. Chances are someone in this group will be able to help. :)
