Cruise 10/11/2003 Part 2

For those who don't make it to WDW frequently, here are some attractions that are so far slated to be closed during October - -

MK:
Big Thunder Mountain will be closed for refurbishment August 25, 2003 - November 21, 2003.

The Swiss Family Treehouse will be closed for refurbishment
September 7, 2003 - October 24, 2003.

MGM:
Magic of Disney Animation will be closed for refurbishment
September 14, 2003 - November 17, 2003.

I was out of the loop for 2 days cause the puter at work was out of commission ... of all things the rain got into our lines. I know, I know we should get out of the dark ages.

Well back to work cause with the 2 days of outage we are realllllllllllllllllllly backed up.

These are the directions that I got for the 3 HRCs since we'll be going there to get our shirts and shot glasses.

Grand Cayman - very close to where the tender lets you off - across the street and to the right about 2 blocks away.

Cozumel - across the street and to the left - somewhat of a walk. Possibly just passed the Del Sol store.

Key West - up a few blocks on Duval Street on the left.

Yeah Eric is the one to dunk at CC. I figure that Art and I outweigh him at least 3 to one. Our tactic will be to weigh him down as we don't do a lot of running

This is going to be one fantastic cruise!!

I will be bringing my laptop to burn cd's of photos. If we take too many, I will have to bring some DVD's to burn also. I will try and pack a few extra CD's in case anyone runs out of memory card space and needs to archive their photos so that they can erase their cards to reuse. Mike

Sound's like we will not be the only ones making the pilgrimage to all of the Hard Rock Cafe's. We always make sure to get shirts whenever we are near a HRC. Thanks for the directions.

Thanks for all your Congratulations for our 10th anniversary!!!

Anja & I just returned from a nice dinner at our favourite restaurant, a Malaysian/SriLankan-place two blocks from our place. The proximity allowed for some yummy cocktail, because we could leave the car at home. I surprised Anja with a nice set of earrings this morning - In complete violation of our No-Gifts-For-This-Occasion-Treaty But you have to strive to stay the bestest hubby in the world!! Even if it means breaking some rules.

a friend of ours also tripped last year with her then 1year-old son on the arm: She left a bakershop, tripped on the stairs (Completely her fault) and managed to fall down a set of five steps without letting little Nicholas having a scratch. But she broke her ankle that awkward, that she needed two operations and still has some screws and wire in it Motherly instincts usually win.

the HardRock opens late on Key West, but the have a little hut in front of teh main building selling all the usual souvenirs as Tees, caps, shot glasses, pins, etc. BTW, we have one in Frankfurt, too. If you need anything I can go there and get it for you. I bought me a nice basecap at the HRC in Denver oin 16th Street Mall six weeks ago.

we got some new cruisers: Shirley and her family from the Lone Star State (Where it should be considerably cooler than in Germany ). I just asked her for some more info about her family and will then do an update probably Friday night.

The forecast predicts a drop of about 18ºF for tomorrow so we can cool down in the upper 80ies

Pfläumchen sounds great, as I'll bring Appelkorn. The NimmZwei also are a good idea, as our American friends may well be able to fly to the moon (With German help of course ) , but can't manufacture decent gummibears - Sorry, Folks, just being honest
I already thought about gummibears, too, but we will have to leave our car fully packed on at the themeparks' parking lots for at least two separate days, and all gummibears would melt into one homogenous lump of treat there
But here's a tip: At Aldi you get Vitamin Gums, which are exactly the same, but you may get more for the same price!!

As far as Excursions go we are all set.
Key West, mailed a check for the Hunt last week. Still have to get an electric cart. We want Pinky to ride in style.
Grand Cayman, It the Captain Marvins Tour we missed last year.
Cozumel, Dive and Snorkle Tour, again the one we missed last year.
CC, no plans, we bring our our snorkle stuff, and plan on just hanging out enjoying our last full day with Disney.
