Hi Everyone,

It's a nice day here today although it may rain later according to the radio this morning. Hopefully they are wrong.

Busy today as it's the end of the month and of course today was the day that the computers decided to act wonky. Took most of the morning to be able to log onto the server and get onto the net. One of the computer programs I use requires the internet so I had work stacked up waiting for the computer to cooperate. Hopefully now that it's working it won't decide not to work this afternoon.

Gotta go and get working on the stack.

Fiona

papa - Glad you checked in. We were starting to get a little worried. It is unlike you to go without posting for a while.

Dan - Hiya Honey!! Have a great time in WDW next week. Are you meeting up with Alikat and Chris?

BTW - Since you asked.... I don't need but if you could just check something out for me if you happen to run across it. I have a Gourmet Mickey cookie jar and creamer (both gifts from BIL). The Gourmet Mickey set is white with blue trim and blue Gourmet Mickey painted on and then raised hidden mickeys on it as well. I was wondering how much a matching sugar bowl might be and do they come in different sizes. The creamer is only about 3.5 inches high and almost three inches across. I think I would want a larger size sugar bowl because one that would "match" the size of the creamer would be too small for our needs. However, now that Richard finally found a white generic sugar bowl that is plenty big, maybe we don't need the larger version in the Gourmet Mickey set.

Anyway, would you be able just to see if they come in different sizes and get me the prices of both the smaller and larger versions. When we go down in October, I may know by then which size I want but I am curious now as to prices.

Don't go out of your way for this. Just if you happen to run across them. Thanks honey. And again, have a GREAT time in WDW!

Sarah'sMom! - Got your envelope today. Thank you so much. Would very much love to arrange a meet with you and the others. With May now ending, we should start planning it!

I PROPOSE THE FIRST SATURDAY IN AUGUST TO BE A PA/NY/MD MEET. So, that would be Saturday, August 2nd. Anyone game?

I have no idea where to have it and only request that it NOT be in NYC. Richard spends enough time there and would prefer to a meet somewhere OUT of the city. Hey! Maybe Cheeseplease and Ellen can even come down from upstate and join us too!

Hi all! We are a week closer!!!!When we get to 99 days I will start doing a :bounce: for each day!

We are taking the kids to the River today for some boating/fishing.

Gosh, What a busy week! Whenever there is a 3 day weekend we pay for it when we get back to work on Tuesday. We wind up craming 5 days worth of work into 4 days, and playing catch-up all week. Plus I got called into my other job today, so I'm just now getting to do my computer thing.
OKW and Matty, I sent you the lastest Kids list by e-mail. DD says no one has written to her in quite a while. Maybe now that school is out that will change.
Later, Ave'

Hi everyone just tried to see the ship leave the port but missed it was on the wrong page .duh. has anyone one else done it ? oh i guess i still have a few more times to see it before i get on it .

Rain, rain go away, come again another day.

Another day here of rain. Went to the baseball game last night and it started with the Dome open but they closed it part way through the game because it started to rain -- hasn't stopped since. It was actually kinda neat because we'd never seen them open or close the Dome. It takes about 25 minutes. Jays won both last night and this afternoon. Dome was closed this afternoon because of rain. Yuck, yuck, yuck. It's not even very warm to compensate for the rain.

It was actually funny at this afternoon's game because I sent Jim for ice cream and he missed the Jays score 3 including a home run. Kinda reminded me of the scene in "How to lose a guy in 10 days" where she sends him for a drink during the last minute of the game.

Our pool gets opened this week so maybe that will change the weather.

Looking forward to 99 bouncies.

When does school end for everyone's kids? Chris goes until June 17th and then has exams on the 18th, 19th and 20th. Exams go into the next week but he gets to write all 4 of his the first week. I believe he writes 2 on the 18th -- he's always kind of vague with details. The last official day of school is June 25th but they only go in to see their exams and find out what their marks were as the report cards are mailed out in July. He'll go back the Tuesday after Labour Day in September.

Thanks for the list, Colleen. I'll take it with me to the USA in June.

Ooops, that was close - 1 thread more and we would have dropped to page 2 ;)

We had a wonderful day over here with temps of 88ºF :smooth:
We watched the Formula1-Race in Monaco which was won by Juan Montoya and then we went to the gym to run an hour - Poooooohey, that was sweaty
The forecast for the week predicts even more heat, that'll be fun in the office w/o a/c - We Germans aren't exactly fond of airconditioned buildings, but at such high temps this can become a strain.

Boy do I wish we needed air conditioning but not yet. It didn't rain today which was nice but the wind was rather cool esp. down by the lake. We took in the Jays game and the Dome was open since it was such a nice day. Still wore a sweater though. Really looking forward to shorts and tshirts soon. (I hope).

Jays are on a roll though -- they won 5 out of 7 home games and swept the Red Sox. It was close today though -- it was the top of the nineth, one out, score was 11-8 (for us) and the bases were loaded. We were in trouble and then we got a double play and it was over. Great game.

Jays won't be back til the 10th when they play the pirates. So far the season is looking good but it's still mighty early.

Both of us are tired so will be in bed early -- 7 games in 7 days is a lot but it's been fun. Have never had the opportunity to go to so many games so it's been interesting. Usually we go to 7-10 games a season. Up to this year my firm had season's tickets, they gave them up this year, so the tickets have been free but the food has not. We haven't bought a lot of food this year though so the cost per game is down!

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Fiona

Weather down here in Central/ West Coast Florida is typical for this time of year, warm, bordering on hot for us, early evening shoers, sunny all day and a bit humid.. this is all relative of course as we find 60 degrees sub artic :)

Anyways I was wondering who I would need to email about adding myself and Jeff to the diners at "The Other Table" If anyone has that infor either post it here or email me!

Thanks!

Jen,

you should contact Hopkins (Tina) and send her your ressie-number.

Just thought I would drop in and say hi. I've seen this thread several times but it was so big that I didn't post. We're going to be on the same cruise with all of you. Just curious, do you have a count of how many Disers so far for this cruise?

EEYORE ... there are 40 or 41 families so far on this cruise. Come on join in ... the more the merrier. Just send an e-mail to Eric
AKA Viking www.cruisetoberfest2@yahoo.com

Give him the first names of your party, ages and occupations, your e-mail address, home town, main or late dinner, room # if known and VOILA you will be on the list with the rest of us.

Another perk is that I'll make up name tags for you with our logo and there are usually all kinds of goodies that we bring and hand out at the sail-away. Last year Disney thought we had our own little gift shop ... what a riot - just check with Ave, Mary and Kathy!

It's so much fun to have a handle on the group and you may even be surprised to find one of us living close to you. I know I was surprised to find MaryJo and it's been fun.

Gotta run ... it dosen't pay to take 2 days off of work cause then when you come back your desk is SCARY!

Thanks for your help, Cathy :D
Unfortunately you made a URL out of our email :(
It's cruisetoberfest2@yahoo.com no WWW !!!!

eeyorekjs7,
welcome to our group. Just send your info (See above) to the adress I provided ;) and you will become an official member of our group.

Hi Eeyorekjs7, I hope you and your family join our merry bunch. Please don't be put off by the size of the thread. We just have a lot of people that like to post. But I promise, we're harmless. And there are no strings attached. Join us at any, all, or none of our planned get togethers, whatever suits you and your family.
If you're going to be on a ship with 2500 strangers, maybe "knowing" a few people from the boards could be a good thing!:D
And the Sail-Away Party really was sooo much fun!!
Later, Ave'

EEYORE...Welcome, welcome! We would love for you to join our happy bunch. Several of us have cruised together before, but most of us have not met (YET).
Do you have kids? Have you sailed before? What state are you in?
Please don't worry about the length of this thread. We just had a new cruiser join up a few days ago. I have not done a count lately, but about 40 sounds close.

Last year I was giving out name tags, and lanyards and other goodies during the sail-a-way get together when a DCL person came up to me to be sure I was not selling stuff!!I assured her I was just giving it out to 100 or so people I had met on the internet!!!LOL!It was really pretty funny!

We have several meeting/activities planned, both prior to boarding and once on board. If you would like to join in let me know and I will get you a list of them.We also have a group rate at the Radisson for Friday Oct 10th.
