padisneyfan,
I almost had a heart attack! I thought we were sailing on Saturday, so I looked at our airline tickets to give my mother/dad our flight times and noticed it was a Sunday. I freaked out! I thought I made our airline reservations for the wrong day. It turns out we are sailing on Sunday to Sunday. I fixed my post above.

We have to drop our little terrier "Hopkins" up in Philly with my parents and that's where I'm meeting up with my sister, so we are going to fly from Philadelphia.

Your itinerary looks like a lot of fun! Ours, makes too many stops. We'll see how that works out. One more sea day might have been more relaxing. I always feel that I have to explore a new island since I've never been.

I can't wait until you came back and tell us about the Pride. It was in port when we were leaving on the Magic. She looked like a beautiful ship as does the Adventure of the Seas, but BOTH lack the classic beauty of our Magic/Wonder.

Too bad about the office move. Is it atleast a nicer office? I bet it made the day go by faster.

Have a great trip!
:)

@GoofyNut, we are thinking about going digital, too. Our friends have one and the technology is wonderful. How many MegaPixels is it? I'm going to surprise hubby with one for his birthday (if he doesn't read this, highly unlikely) that is 3.2 megapixels. I really don't know much about them except the higher megapixels, the sharper the images as the pictures get larger.

Tina :)

I am just hanging out until I have my 7pm class to teach. Tina, I am getting moved into a patient room until the construction is complete. So this will be a temporary move and then who knows where I will end up. Between teaching classes this afternoon, I have been packing up stuff. Housekeeping is coming tomorrow morning to move all the big items. The funny part is I probably won't even have a key to the office before I leave. So will be locked out when I get back.

I would have had a heart attack also if I thought I scheduled the flight for the wrong day. I just looked at my airline reservations on line and it looked like I didn't have a non stop flight down. However, after making a call was told my flight had been moved up 20 minute so still non stop. First time with Air Tran but so far they have been very helpful.

I agree the Magic/Wonder do have that classic beauty. Will let you know how the Pride is, I have only heard good things so far.

You also have a safe trip. Maybe sometime this summer we can
have our Mini meet with PA/NY/MD.

Have a safe and fun trip.

Nancy

Tina and Nancy...Have a GREAT TIME!!!!

CWD, got you on the list for the brunch bunch. Glad you have you! That brings our total to 32.

Later, Ave'

Seems like ages since I've been here! Wishing Nancy and Tina wonderful cruises. Quick Hi to all!

Tina and Nancy both of you have a great cruise.

Hope that everyone is doing well.

Cathy I found a Nikon 3100 not a 3200??

Mike

Nancy and Tina have a great time. I hope the weather is great as well. It rained all afternoon yesterday but today it looks like it's going to be sunny but a little cooler.

Must go wake us the DS. (again)

Fiona

We must live within walking distance of each other...We're right next door to you in Lakeville (Near Crystal Lake), small world....

Very small world. We live just south of the Minnesota Zoo. We
booked this cruise so our DD's would not miss so much school. (MEA convention) 1 DD is starting middle school and the other is in 3rd year of college. We are looking forward to meeting so many fun loving neighbors from near and far on this cruise.

Boardwalk...my DS was so excited to see one of your party is a PRO BASS FISHERMAN!!! It's what he wants to be when he grows up!DS watches all the fishing shows on TV and would rather go fishing then anything else. His favorite part of our last cruise was fishing at CC(where he caught the most fish on the boat)!

Ross is the Pro Bass Fisherman and is the youngest in the State of Minnesota. He turned Pro at the age of 18. Ross started very young I think around age 4 or 5. He will love to talk fishing with your DS as I think he will be going through withdrawal on the cruise. It is difficult to make a real living in the Pro circuit so he is going to college. Our oldest DD also loves to fish and has been fishing since age 2. She watched fishing shows on Saturday mornings instead of cartoons.

Thanks for your warm welcome.

Thanks for the warm welcome to all on this board. Our family is so excited about the cruise as we had previously cruised with family twice before. We were a little sad that we would not know anyone, but what a difference a week can make!!!!

Does anyone have advice on the mode of transportation that is best from MCO to the Radisson at the Port on Friday? Taxi? Rental Car? Limo? We will be going back to the hotel after the cruise to pick up a car from Avis as we are going to IOA for the day.

Would appreciate any input from this experienced group.

Also was able to book at the Radisson under the group rate for Oct. 10. Thanks so much!

Jeff,
I would go for a luxury van for the transfer. You should be able to get one for about $80-100 for the one-way-ride. There are 3 or 4 companies available, you can find links for them on the DIS-homepage or check out the Transportation-Forum on the DIS-Boards. As far as I know AVIS provides a shuttle from Port to their pick-up point.

Wanted to rescue us from Page 2!!! Been really busy at work--Joint Commission is coming this summer--actually, I go on vacation the first two weeks of July and guess who awaits me when I get back that Monday!! Oh well!!

Weather is lousy today--rain, rain and more rain. Supposed to rain straight through until Memorial Day--never mind the Disney cruise--we will need an ark and two of each kinds of animals!!

Tina and Nancy...hope you have a great cruise and great weather..I envy you!! Mary Jo

We just watched "Anger Management", starring Adam Sandler & Jack Nicholson, and nearly laughed our b**tts off :p
If you havn't seen it yet, you should change that soon ;)

Anja has caught a cold and had to stay home today :(

Thanks for the review Viking. I'd like to see it but Jim isn't a big Nicolson fan so he's been hesitating.

Nice and sunny here today but it's supposed to rain during the weekend -- hopefully the weather man is wrong.

It's not all that warm though because there's a cool wind. Seem to complain about the weather a lot.

Going to see Finding Nemo tomorrow night at the Preview showing in Toronto. Will leave work early so that we can get downtown in time.

Must go and clean up my desk before heading home.

Take care everyone.

Fiona

"Anger Management" is on our list of movies to see, but we just haven't seen it, yet. This really pushes it to the front of the list! I love a great comedy.

This past weekend we saw "A Mighty Wind", which is produced and has the same actors as "Best in Show" and "Waiting for Guffman". It was a funny movie and has that same old wacky and off the wall humor, but I'm still partial to Best in Show since we're a dog owner. I put it just behind Best in Show and better than Waiting for Guffman.

Tina :bounce:

PS: Rain, rain, rain... so much rain, there isn't a time to mow the lawn.

Just wanted to pop in and say hello.

Been too busy lately. Spent my day off yesterday cleaning ALL day. Yuck. Did that so I have time this weekend for laundry and packing. Seems like everyone is ready for a vacation.

Nancy and Tina - have fun on your cruises. i have lots of reading to do when I get back since you're both going non-disney and will need fill us in on every detail

Eric - loved the confidence of bringing home Pinky. Can't wait to make it come true.

:Pinkbounc Nancy & Tina :Pinkbounc Don't forget to pack the tape recorder so at the end of each day you can record your notes of the day on the NON-DISNEY cruise! HEHEHE

Mike & Tina ... I messed up the camera I just got is a Nikon Coolpix 3100. The last couple of nights I have sat down with the manual and the camera and tried to get used to the bells & whistles. Thank God there aren't too many to remember and I've even done some sample pix. Next step getting it loaded into my puter and getting used to that end of things. It's in the $349 range both on the net and at Best Buy (which had a 24 month no interest deal going on - other reason I got the camera!). MIKE & ERIC ... you gadget guru's let me know what you think , if you check it out on the net. Mike, excuse the senior momemt on the model #.

OK Now how are Kathy and Anja feeling (and don't say with their hands)? I'm sticking some pixie dust in the darn rain clouds and sending it your way.

Jeff ... Glad you got the CRUISETOBERFEST rate for the Radisson.
We drive down and park at the Radisson for the duration of the cruise and have them shuttle us to and from the ship.

How about Ruben winning American Idol ... such a shame that the top 4 couldn't get something cause they were all amazing. I'm happy for Ruben .. he seems like a nice guy. Just think these people are everywhere and if not for this show probably wouldn't have gotten any breaks.

Well back to reality ........... but gotta pay for this cruise somehow!

Cathy with @ C

Cathy,
with a Nikon you can't be wrong, they manufacture fine cameras. You should get some additional memorycards for the cruise, but wait til the last possible moment to buy them, because the prices are continuously going down.
Also get some additional batteries, I have three sets for may camera, which is usually sufficient for a whole day.

We also had the winner of American Idol in the evening news tonight. To me he looks like a HUGE success :jester:
I just heard him sing for a couple of seconds and he sounded fine.
Over here they started the casting for the second season of DSDS. This means "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" or "Germany is looking for a superstar", which is the German version of Pop Idol. The winners of the first season are touring "Die Republik (The republic: Nickname for our country) right now and are making some big bucks.

Talking about big bucks: The Euro has again gained versus the Dollar (1€=1.17$/1$=.85€) and I've even read predictions of a Dollar as low as 70 Eurocents, which would do for some big time shopping in september :p But I hope it levels off anytime soon or our export business will go down the gutter :( , because you can't afford to buy our cars anymore ;)

Hi to all!

Popping in to wish Tina and Nancy great fun on their cruises! You'll have to tell us all about them when you get back.

We've had rain, rain, and more rain! But, today is nice and sunny, about 70º. So, I got the grass mowed. Now, they're calling for rain for the next four or five days.....Should stop just in time to mow again!

Becca and I took advantage of the nice day, got the stroller out and went for a long walk. Very nice!

Bette--- I will email our reservation number so we can share a table with you and Amy, Chris and Emily at dinner. Sounds like a fun time to me. Anyone else care to join us at the early seating?

Amy-- We're not worried about dining with a toddler. We're so used to it at home, it won't bother us in the least. Becca is currently into some kind of scream-at-the-top-of-her-lungs phase. ;)

Eric-- The birthday party sounds like it was a great success! A belated Happy Birthday to your Opa!! Hope Anja is feeling better from her cold.

Mike & Kathy-- Happy Birthday to Katie! Hope Kathy is feeling better.

Cathy--- I think you'll really enjoy your digital camera once you get the hang of it. We've recently added a digital video camera also. Got some nice video at Don's brother's wedding last week.
Did Mary Jo say you and Art will be joining us in Virginia in a couple of weeks? You can take some practice pictures there! :)

Fiona--- Will be anxious to hear your impression of Finding Nemo! Josh has been begging to go see it already and I have to keep reminding him that it's not out yet. It looks like it will be really good.

Boardwalk4me-- Welcome to our group! Don will want to talk fishing with Ross.

Take care. I'll try to pop in more often. Seems by the time I read the posts, I don't have time to reply!
