ok, hopefully I got 6500!!!

Chris ordered pizza for himself and is allowing us to eat some of it as he says he can't eat it all himself. Must go before he does manage to eat it all.

...that's what my grandmother used to say anyhow. I'm terribly bored, nothing to do this afternoon at work and all I can think about is this cruise. I left my docs at home and I want to get some stuff packed tonight. Definately doing some laundry (sorry SueEllen) and convincing Tony that he needs to bring more than a passport and a change of underwear.

Been watching Barb (TinkerBarb) post on our Disney List about her pregnancy. She'll be just before the cutoff on this cruise and she's just as excited as we are! (Don't worry, she has a doctor's note and everything, she's fit as a fiddle, another one of my grandmother's sayings). I can't wait to see her and SueEllen and her family. And to meet all of these other NEW FRIENDS!

Tony asked me a couple of weeks ago "Mom, are you going to make your own friends or will I have to hang out with you the whole trip". My reply "I'm taking my friends with me, remember, you can go anywhere you want". "Oh yeah....". However, when I made sure that he knew that we didn't have to do our shore excursions together; that he could do all sorts of stuff without me, especially now that he's over 18, he STILL wants to go on Captain Marvins and the Tulum ruins with me :-) That kid will always be my best friend. We're going to have so much fun.

I've been worried about getting my house in order before I left, but the DH has the week off next week (had to take some vacation before he lost it, dang work-a-holic) so I'm hoping to talk him into doing my final bit of laundry and checking on all my confirmations and such. Not to mention doing a load of dishes or two. Wouldn't let him get my stuff packed. I'm terrible at forgetting stuff, but as bad as I am, he's worse. I do have a list though. Maybe that's what I can do for a bit. Go over my lists before I go home this evening.

SOMEONE TALK TO ME! I'M GOING CRAZY!!!

I'm still here. Grabbed a piece of pizza though -- not supposed to eat it but hey every once in a while shouldn't kill me.

Your Tony should take to my Jim -- he figures he's ready because he has his suit (he even put his ties in the pockets), two pairs of pants, his bathing suit, 2 polo shirts and his baseball hat. Figures he doesn't need to take much more than that. Ugh.

Well, apparently it has nothing to do with age. He'll likely be like that until the day he dies. I feel for his future wife.

My husband cringes when I get into packing mode too, but he's good about it. He runs around doing exactly what I tell him too and says "yes, dear" a lot. The kids don't humor me quite so well. Hence, I'll end up packing Tony and even though he hates it, he'll hate me a lot less on the trip because I won't be saying "I told you you should have packed <insert item here>" so I'll put up with it now.

We do have to catch a flight. Not driving from Seattle ;) and it's an early one. Tony will probably not sleep the night before and just stay up. I likely won't sleep well so getting up early won't be an issue.

My DS, Chris, has packed himself since he was a cub. At one summer scout camp I asked and asked if he had packed sandals -- yup, yup, yup but had he? nope. He ended up having to wears his new running shoes in the water since we were canoeing and he ended up with basically wet shoes for a week. He's never forgotten sandals since though. He's now in the process of packing for the weekend -- it's hard to tell if he's remembered everything but it's all army green. Even the towels! Told him to take rain gear and long underwear and he says that they are packed so hopefully they are.

Good luck on the flight -- we like to do the drive as it allows us to take way too much stuff. Actually we end up taking a couple cases of water, pop and other food to eat on the way. Since we are staying for a week after the cruise we'll also take stuff for that week as well. It's easier for me to eat my own food than eating out all the time. I'm hoping the sugar free desserts will be good because although I can cheat occassionally I end up napping afterwards. I want to stay awake for the cruise for it will be sugar free most nights.

I'm SO EXCITED!!!! Just 2 weeks to go! A co-worker asked me today when I go on my cruise, (I have not been talking about it at work because I made them all crazy last year talking about my 9/28/02 cruise) anyway, it was about 3:30 this afternoon, so I replyed to her...in 2 weeks I will be sitting by the pool at my hotel!

OK gang we only have this weekend and next weekend to get it all done!I'm very encouraged to hear you are all getting into "packing mode". Pick a spot in your house and start to get a pile going. Get clothes that need to be dry cleaned to the cleaners this weekend, and next trip to the grocery store pick up a few "cassarole" type dishes to put in your freezer, so when you get home you can "ease" into the reality of cooking again!
Also, call whoever is going to mind your pets and remind them when their pet duty starts.

Tammy, I learned a great lesson from my mom, If I EVER told her I was bored, she made me clean something!!!I do the same with my children!!

Anyone going to be in the cruise chat tonight?

I can't eat a lot of sugar either, so you can help me out! I'm not a big sugar fan anyway; my big vice is carbs, which I don't need either (bread, pasta, etc). It makes me crave more carbs and, you guessed it, sugar. Gotta get my protein in and I normally do fine. The past few days, I've been good. Actually stuck to my goals, but been drinking a glass or two of wine each evening to relax me enough to sleep. Not good as that alcohol turns into sugar too and doesn't help me in the least.

Afraid that doesn't work with my boys. However, what does work with them is not buying groceries until the kitchen is clean or not allowing TV until the livingroom is clean!!!

Cruise Chat? What's that? Where have I been?

What a wonderful evening I will have...........DH is taking the girls to the football game tonight. I don't want to go and he said he would take them!!! YEA for me!!! He is grilling hamburgers right now, then they are gone!!!! Don't know what I will be doing, probably sitting right here talking to all of you (y'all)!

2 weeks!!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

OK, can't stand it anymore, I'm leaving work early.

My excuse? Have to stop by the bank and get quarters (toll roads) and dollar bills (tipping) for the trip. How's that????? See you all in an hour or so and someone let me know about this chat thing!!!!!

OK, so where did everyone go? How do I do the chat? I don't want to miss it!

I just went to chat...no one there!!!

Tammy, go to the main page and look for "chat" then follow directions to the chat room. I'm going to try again

Mary.........I just went there and no one was there either!!! :(

Hope

OK Tammy, now you got me going.
Been sort of putting things off because I've been working so much. But tomorrow is my last day at my second job until I return from the cruise. So no more excuses. I have called and double checked our reservation at the Radisson. Got our t-shirts done, got our new snorkle stuff, and filled out our doc. LOL, I know, but it's a start!!!
Never could get into the chat room. :( Don't know why. But after many attempts I gave up.
Great pep talk Mary! That helped get me into packing mode too!
SueEllen, so sorry you are still without power.:( Hope things get back to normal real soon.

Just 2 weeks to go!!!:bounce: :bounce:

Sooner rather than later, Ave'

I HAVE POWER, I HAVE POWER, I HAVE POWER!!!!!!!!!

The electricity is back on (YEAH!!!) and I'm so excited!

Just wanted to check in that we had power up and running again!

P.S. - Cathy, got the second mailings of the crossword puzzles and they still came out as one LONG straight line down the middle of MANY pages! LOL! However, Rich went on his computer tonight and said, "Cathy sent me some things" and I said see how it looks and yup! they look like real puzzles on his computer so we now have them printed out. Thanks bunches.

Also, thanks for that other little email reminder thingie. :D

Night now. This was a great day. Looking forward to a great weekend and will see you guys soon.

SueEllen! CONGRATULATIONS ON GETTING YOUR POWER BACK!!!!! Enjoy that nice hot shower!!! :D
