Welcome back Mary. Glad you had a good time.
I just finished watching the Travel Channel show about Disney Cruise Line. I kept calling my hubby and kids to come watch t with me. They would walk in the room, glance at the TV and give me the old, been there, done that look. They think I'm a little obsessed. I can't imagine why. LOL
With 52 people in our Brunch Bunch, I decided to see about the private room after all. OK Peter, you told me so.:o My travel agent at DU said we could not book it because we were not a group "traveling together". But that we could try to book it once on board. I was thinking of maybe combining a few tables, and trying for the room. That still leaves over 30 of us in the main dinning area. Any ideas? Anyone?
Bettemom, Watched "Weekend at Bernie's" before and during the Disney Travel show. I was picturing Bernie the flamingo in all the dead scenes. LOL Sick or what?
Are you all sure you want to cruise with me? ;) To Late!!!!!:p
Sooner rather than Later, Ave'

Ave,
go and get part 2 of Weekend at Bernie's, it's also great!!

Happy labor day all!

Last year, our DIS group reserved the private dining area in palo and it sat about 20 comfortably. Even with the shades pulled, was still bit hot in there, however. My 2 cents would be to stay in the main dining area with such a large group??

Thanks Eric for the great shot of our MN group... YOu realize it is Viking land here in Minnesota!!

No doc's yet

MaryJo, I like your idea about golf shirts....Christy and I may look into that.

Hoping for a great first day of school tomorrow!

Doug

Doug,
any Viking-merchandise available? I'll surely reimburse you!!

We got back from camping in N.Y. yesterday, everything was wet from the rain.
We had to tear down camp in the rain, then set it back up in the rain when we got home, so it woudn't mildew, lot's of fun.

We watched the DCL special on the Travel Channel last night, even Josh was amazed.

I have a lot to do in a short week, so I better be going, I have the in-laws coming for a week on Friday, I'll talk at everyone in the a.m.

Good morning to all! Another day closer to our cruise. :bounce: Back to work today!:( At least it is a short week:D

Maybe we will begin getting docs this week!!???

Dan and Scott...aren't you sailing this week?

DH has been summoned for Jury Duty on Sept 26th:p

papa-Congrats on the big annivarsary!

mary-we leave Thursday for FL and leave on Saturday for the cruise. Looks like it could very well be a mystery cruise! Oh well.

To all-does anyone know why I can't open attachments on my email now? I remember Viking helping me with this before and since I had to do a format and recovery it is back to factory settings. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't it funny that the offical opening of the ride requires EPCOT to close early one of those days.
Not really. :jester: The event will host up to 1300 of the top media people from around the world. It is an <I>international</I> media event, <I>not</I> the "typical ribbon cutting" thing we might imagine for an attraction's opening.

I can understand that they don't want gawkers (aka "tourists" :jester: ) and that giving special treatment to the media usually means receiving "favors" (great reviews - although generally deserved anyway) in return. With all that is involved, I am surprised they aren't shutting down the park to the public all day - except that would mean tremendous loss of revenue and they'd never do that!

We will also be at the DVC Members Celebration and the Castaway Club Party. As of the first part of July, they were running the DVC Members party on Sunday at 10 am and 11 am. They were running the Castaway Club party on Tuesday at 5:15 pm.

I finally got our excursions booked this morning. We will be doing the Grand Cayman Island Tour at 1:25 and in Cozumel we will be on the Fury Cataraman Sail/Snorkel/Beach excursion.

I think all I have left to do is Shirts, Some dinner arrangements for the 18th, Priority Seating for the Mexican Place at Epcot for the 19th and buy our Universal Tickets from AAA. I guess they are now offering a one day two park pass for $69.

Hopefully docs will arrive soon

Best wishes to all,

Chris and Michelle

Only 40 days till Disney Time

Also got DH some Disney logo cruise shirts that were $10.00 each..this store must do the logos for the Disney merchandise...only problem was that they only had small and medium. Mary Jo

Mary Jo,
Where is this store you mentioned?
Though I'm from NY, DGf has family in Scranton - not too far from Wilkes Barre, and we'll probably be stopping up that way in the next month. Not certain, but possibly.

Had a busy long weekend. Saturday we went to the Renaissance Festival which was nice but the weather was a little cool. Actually wore jeans rather than shorts. Sunday we went tshirt shopping and actually ended up with white tshirts for the cruise and then gold coloured ones for Key West. We couldn't find yellow tshirts so settled on the gold. We also went back to school shopping with the hoards of people also picking up pens etc. Yesterday we attempted to attend the Jay/Yankees game but got there and Jim got dizzy so we had to leave. He's starting to think that it's some sort of allergy to cleaning fluids or something similar because he was fine on Saturday although he did have a coughing attack on Sunday while we were shopping but nothing like he had on Monday.

Chris actually got up without a problem this morning for school and got his bus. Made a mess in the bathroom shaving and geling his hair but at least he caught the bus and actually had time to eat before he left. It's only the first day but I'm hopeful.

Busy week this week as we have to do the grocery shopping for the weekend camp.

Hope everyone has a good day!!

Fiona

Eric:

Funny you should ask.....The Minnesota "vikings" group has some ideas for you (I'm sure there's no need for reimbursement)

Hoping for a good season from our Queens....I mean "Kings"!!

Take care

Been out and about for a few days and have a few ?'s ....

I worked on name tags and was wondering if anyone has heard from VideoMan and his party? Not sure if they want name tags or no.

Has Shirley Pierce said if she will be "joing the party"? To name tag or not ... need the names if yes.

Lisa Goeke ... what are the names of the adults in her party for name tags.

Is everyone OK with the Cruisetoberfest II iron-on logos?

Have a nice trip Dan & Scott. Please check on how strick the check in security is and if they are still doing the free beverage station.

How is Norm from Perfect Gift? Have they said anything about meeting us?

Gotta run ... again!

I nearly had to kiss him. The UPS guy just dropped off my cruise documents AND my Disney Reward Dollars ($320 worth)

We are nearly on our way....

Sandra

Can't open the cell phone list...........Don't know why.....When viking sends attachments he does it two ways and I can only open one of those. I think there is something wrong with word pad. :(

No documents for us yet!!!

Hope

Cathy, I never could open my Cruisetoberfest Logo. Sister Mary offered to do them up for me. I gave her the iron-on tranfer paper when she was here 2 weeks ago. Also she knows how I feel about irons. LOL
Sandra, Congrats on doing the doc. dance.:bounce:
Hope, I couldn't open my phone list either.
Colleen, could you possibly cut and paste it into an e-mail for me? Or just make a copy and give it to me at the Raddison.
Thanks for everyones' input on the Brunch. i am going to some more research on the seating capacity, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that it was over 100.
Sooner rather then Later, Ave'

Colleen could you email me the cell phone list again? The dog ate it ;) actually I deleted it by mistake. Mike
