My fast pass day is this Saturday!!!:scared1:

Original plan was:

Wed (arrive morning) staying at Poly - Disney Springs, then MK for dinner and night rides, to bed somewhat early
Thurs - Epcot morning, lunch, Halloween party
Fri - AK (favorite park), Ohana late dinner
Sat - relax, b-fast at hotel (Kona) DHS late afternoon just for TOT (we don't love this park) and then Disney Springs dinner/drinks
Sunday - AK, California Grill dinner
Monday - Epcot all day, perhaps MK EMH, dinner
Tuesday - AK - dinner Sanaa
Wednesday - MK dinner Boathouse
Thursday - Epcot all day

But now I'm lamenting my lack of an actual MK morning/day until the Wednesday before we leave! We only seem to have nights planned before that. I wanted to experience the hour before opening wandering Main Street. I know that's weird, but opening MK is one of my favorite things...we discussed Epcot. We are still so burnt out on Epcot (stayed at Beach Club last few trips, feels like all we did was wander Epcot!) And we will be at Disney Springs two other evenings.
So new proposed plan:

Wed (arrive morning) - staying at Poly, pop over to Epcot to ride Spaceship Earth and Living With the Land as stand by (our favorite rides there). TT, FEA and Soarin will be done on other Epcot days. MK dinner and night rides
Thurs - MK opening, do a little shopping there, ride a few rides, then still the same lunch at WCC, relax at resort and head back to MK for party around 6 or so (no plans for character meets, not worried about lines).
The rest of plan would stay same...

thoughts? :)

A dinner that you have to travel for on every day of your favorite park? With the items to do in the dark now at Animal Kingdom you just might want to have one of the park visit days include a evening there instead of traveling out of the park.

The opening at MK was delightful except for the whole rope drop part which was way worse for us. If you aren't racing to a ride, you will love it!! Plus, I agree to eating dinner near/in AK one night because it's wonderful at night now with Pandora!

I love that hour before opening on Main Street so I would personally go for it!

I agree. If it's your fave park, stay there. See about those adrs on other days imo.

AK is covered. We have late dinner at Ohana, won't have to leave until well after dark, and then other AK day - park during day, dinner at 5:00 at Sanaa, then back for night at park. No interest in Rivers of Light.

Thanks! The more I think about it, the more I like our new plan! :)

Hi again! We are going to be at MK a few times during this trip, so we don't plan on racing to any rides during this rope-drop. Any suggestions of something to experience besides rides right after open, before the crowds show up? We've never done a leisurely park open before! :)

On our last summer visit to Magic Kingdom, we did rope drop but didn't race to the most popular rides. While most people were fast-walking to Mine Train, Peter Pan, Dumbo, or Space Mountain, we went the opposite direction toward Frontierland. We were able to enjoy a leisurely paced morning hitting Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, and Pirates of the Caribbean back-to-back with minimal waits. This was on a very busy day, and we could see the crowds and heat starting to get heavy around 10:30am.

Not sure I have specific suggestions for activities besides rides at that time in the morning, but it sounds like you can have a nice access to a mostly uncrowded park even if you just want to stroll around. Have a really great time!!

Thanks! That sounds like a good plan. We always go the opposite way at opening!

A leisurely morning at MK sounds LOVELY! I'd definitely go for your revised plan. :)

Our FP day is tomorrow and it's crazy how much I've changed this week. It's funny how getting closer helps you to clarify your priorities for each day and your trip overall. Also, based on your ticker - it looks like we may be attending the same MNSSHP. We're going on Thurs 10/26. Can't wait!

Good luck finalizing your plans!

Thanks! It will be our second day, the first morning of our trip, hopefully a nice way to start it.
Yes we are going to the party on 10/26! Last time we did a Sunday party around the same dates, so I will see how it compares to a Thursday.
I keep tweaking my fast passes too - I just want it done and not to think about them again! :p

I like your revised plan better. I'm the same way and always make sure I have at least one early morning planned for MK and I almost always do it on our first full day.

I agree with heading to Frontierland... it's always pretty slow to fill up. We love it first thing in the morning!

My last October trip we found it so much more pleasant to be in the MK at RD than during our party evening, the parties are so crowded! We are still doing MNSSHP this year but I'm looking forward to our PPO breakfast more. I think your revised plan looks good.

If you haven't done it before, ride the Main Street Vehicles.

Thanks guys! This is one of our days I am most looking forward to. :)
