I can't believe it, after searching multiple times per day, I finally got a CRT reservation. The problem is it is on an evening extra magic hours day, which starts at 9:00, and the reservation is at 9:25. We are not staying in a resort hotel.

If we show up for our reservation to check in at 9, will they still ask us to leave the park? We certainly will have no problem taking off as soon as dinner is done.

What is everyone's experience with this?

You will be fine. During evening EMH visitors not staying at Disney resorts can shop and dine, but not go on any of the attractions. Also, you will not be asked to leave the park after dinner unless it's late and the park has closed. It is during hard ticket events (e.g. MNSSHP and MVMCP) that you would have to leave after you finish dining.

No, because you aren't required to leave the park during EMH. You will just be denied admittance to attractions without a Disney room key.

Quick question, how do they check for rides? We always do EMH for the past 3 trips, stay onsite but no one has ever asked for proof on a ride.

Hmmm interesting, we never have. I will be curious to see how this plays out when we go back. My DH and I always talk about this and never saw it as an advantage. Truth be told besides not being asked we have never seen anyone be asked for their KTTW card either.

They definitely ask for your room key during the evening magic hours. In July, we stayed on site but my cousin who is local spent the day with us. They make sure you have a room key for every person in your group. We always had to remember to bring the kids keys with us.

For morning extra magic hours you have to show your room keys at the entrance for admission. They don't need to ask again at each ride because they know everyone in the park is staying on site.

We were there in June and asked for our KTTW card at most attractions, including Space Mountain at 12:45 AM, 15 minutes before EMH ended.
