Ok so I need some help here! My daughter will be 5 in October and we are taking our first EVER trip to Disney in September. It is a surprise for the kids! So we can't really ask them what they want to do directly..just drop a few hints here and there. Well I have made our ADR's and what not. I did not make one for CRT because I just wasn't sure if it was her thing or not. So here is a little background on her and what not. She is a girlie, but doesn't mind getting dirty (she has a 7yr old brother and they do everything together!) She loves wear dresses, and loves jewelry and all that girlie girl stuff. But she is also pretty shy at first meeting people. So I am not really sure how she will do with actually seeing any of the princesses or characters for that matter. My friend just went to Disney and we were looking at her pics online and my daughter just freaked out when she saw Cinderella and the castle...everytime she sees pics of the castle she gets soo excited and she says she wants to go there and see the princesses now and wants to see the castle...so I know she will be excited and completely in AWE when she sees the castle. Now the princesses are another story. Is it worth the money to take her there even though she probably won't talk to Cindy and will hide behind me the whole time? Is there anyway we can go in the castle and not eat? Is there anything to do in there? I just don't know what to do. This is probably our once in a lifetime trip. I am actually surprised hubby went along with it this time. Being military we move alot and well we are pretty close now so that is probably why he said yes! haha

I would really love any help, advice something at this point!! I just don't know what to do!!! AHHHH trying to plan a perfect, wonderful, magical trip!
:lmao:

TIA

If you want to see Cinderella, she is located in Toontown. I always wanted to eat in the castle so we went for my birthday...I wasn't sure how my son was going to react b/c at that time he was 2yrs old (he is very shy boy and does not like Santa or Easter bunny) but when he was in Disney he went to the characters and hug then, gave them high fives and posted for pictures. When we went to CRT....he loved the attention that the princesses gave him and gave him kisses on his check and he had a grin that is priceless. Ok he is a boy but he is requesting to eat in the castle again. I'm thinking ok the food was ok but its the experience eating in the castle.

I would try and do CRT. We took dd (and ds) last year and she loved it! There is a pic taken with Cinderella before you upstairs to dine so your daughter would at least be able to get a few words in with Cindy:goodvibes We found the character interaction very good. I think it is definitely worth it at least once. You cannot get past the podium to see the inside of the castle without a reservation.

I woud definitely book it. They are only at this stage once, and will probably be in such awe. I booked it today and am SOOO excited, and I know DD will be too. Do it now as it might not be available.

Do it! Believe me, this time goes WAY too quickly..... Bring her in costume, and you will get some very memorable pictures you will cherish for years to come......

We took my DS to MNSSHP the October before he turned 3 (his b'day is in February). He loved it. He knows he ate there, but doesn't remember it, so he has begged to go back.

I have tickets for MNSSHP in September and made my ressie last week for the castle on the night we are attending as a surprise.

I would suggest getting a ressie if you can as it is a fun experience. The food is just so-so, but the atmosphere is great.

If you do decide to do CRT, try for breakfast or lunch as that is when the princesses are there. Cinderalla is in the lobby for pictures each meal. princess(when we went were sleeping beauty, snowwhite, jasmine, belle) are only there during breakfast and lunch. during dinner is the fairy godmother and two of the girl mice. All of my kids were in awe of eating in the castle and the princesses. I think she would feel like a real princess if you took her.

YES! If she gets that excited seeing photos of the castle, I think she will love eating there. It's not all about talking to the princesses- she may surprise you with that but even if she doesn't, she may just love watching them. I'm sure the princesses will not try to force her out of her comfort zone.

There's just something special about eating in the castle.

:thumbsup2My vote is you should do CRT. We did it in Aug 07 with my DS (5) and DS (9) at the time and they loved it. My older DS is on the shy side and even he loved it. They characters are all very sweet and caring. I think she will love it. Good Luck and enjoy.:cool1:
