CRT? Why am I considering this?

So in all of our trips it was never really on my radar to eat at CRT. Never wanted to spend 2 dining credits on it or pay oop. But for some reason when deciding on restaurants for our next trip and trying to hit some new ones it popped in my mind that we haven't eaten there.

Is it really worth the money and hassle of trying to book? If you ate there are you happy you at least did it once?

I should add that while DH and I do have kids; they are 2 boys (ages 8 and 12) but they love character meals even the princess ones. If we did this it would probably be on our arrival night, which I realize might make it even harder to get the ADR.

What to do, what to do.......

Go for it! I'm in the minority, but I love it. DH and I make it a habit to go at least once a trip.

I always tell my son that it's okay to appreciate princesses.

Eating in the castle is an experience.

Normally I am one to encourage people to try CRT. but the words "arrival night" set off the red flags. If something happens to delay your travel, it isn't ten bucks a person, it's the whole shebang.

Any other day of your trip, if you can arrange that, I'll say go for it.

That's a valid point I hadn't thought of. I was more so worried about the availability on our first day. Thanks for pointing that out!

Do it! At least this one time... We don't eat at CRT every time but have a few times and each time we consider it well worth it. The last time we ate there was October 2013 for dinner and it was wonderful! We went to celebrate my DD's engagement - just DD, my DMom, DD's best friend and myself. Such a magical experience with the princesses in the castle. Taking DD in January for just a mom and daughter trip and that was the first place she asked to go - She is 23! Expensive yes - but worth it.

We love the Castle and try to eat dinner there once in a while. I would just be careful about the timing on an arrival night.

"ARRIVAL NIGHT" is a huge red flag. If you miss this ADR- which is entirely possible given the way the airlines operate these days- you lose the cost of the entire meal, not just $10 per person. There's no way I'd risk it.

We've been there 15+ times with the dining plan and have booked it many times and always cancelled when we realized that we could go 2 places if we cancel. So we've never been there. We are going for the first time in a couple weeks. FINALLY

It's the castle... the experience is worth the money, at least once, IMO!

For what its worth, DS7 ASKED to go there ob our next trip. He is 100% boy (rocks and bugs in his pocket, tackle football playing boy) and he loves it. Of course last time he said it was because the princesses were so pretty.

Exactly.

I know a lot of males who like the princesses. Some think they're pretty. I also know some who do drag as the princesses. So they do appeal to a broad swath.

I think it's worth doing once. That said, I never plan on doing it again. The food wasn't to my taste and it turned out my son is afraid of face characters.

Still, I'm glad I did it once!

I think we may give it a shot. We've got a couple ideas for a back up plan if I'm unable to snag that one anyways. Thanks for the opinions!

We went as two adults, and really enjoyed it. We had 2 credits to use together somewhere over our stay, and opted for Le Cellier, but changed our minds around 62 days out and decided we wanted to spend an extra day at MK. We managed to get a 7pm dinner reservation as soon as we looked that night, and we didn't regret it. It's a lovely dining area, the food was very good (not the best we ate but nothing to complain about) and overall a really excellent experience. We probably won't bother on our next trip, but it's on my to-do list for my Mum's first visit! :)

We did it and we loved it and our DS11 loved it too. It was pricey but wow what an experience! It's something we now want to do every trip but since we aren't the Rockefellers we will have to live off the memories!!
