I was soooo thrilled I was able to secure reservations for Cinderella's Royal table. Not so much for my son, even though he does love smiling at pretty girls, but for my nieces. What a cool opportunity to get some beautiful pictures of them with the Princesses in their beautiful ball gowns, right? WRONG!
Cinderella was gracious and beautiful yes, but when we got upstairs I was left wondering "Where are all the princesses??". Mary Poppins was there...and while I think nannies SHOULD be held to a higher ranking, because I too am a childcare provider, I didn't think she fell under the "princess" category! Then there was Belle in her house dress..."where was her beautiful golden yellow gown we see in the stage show?" And the Fairy God Mother? Okay she goes with the Cinderella theme so I'll let her pass.
Snow White was lovely however and gave my little man a smooch on his forehead leaving a big red kiss mark. How cute!
I was just really hoping the girls would get pretty pictures with the TRUE Princesses. Belle in her pretty yellow gown, Sleeping Beauty in her pink, and Ariel (My DH said, how's she suppose to walk around?) "DUH! She had legs in the end of the movie!" Even Pocahontas and Mulan would have been great to show some diversity! That being said, I think its time Disney made a movie with an African American Princess.
The food was good and the service was nice, but just with all the hype, I was expecting the "wow" factor that I always note Disney for.
Anyone else leave wondering where all the Princesses where?
