CRT w/ 2 turning 3 year old...

Ok, I will try to make this as simple as possible..
We will be in WDW from Dec 5-12. DD will be turning 3 on the 10th. I know that since she will be 2 on check in, she is considered 2 for the duration of our trip. My question is this: we will be doing the BBB on the 10th for her bday. I am hoping to follow that up with lunch at CRT the same day. We will have the DP, but not sure if we are going to use the 2 credits or pay out of pocket. If we do decide to use the DP, will our DD still be able to eat off of our plates since she will not have a DP of her own? What if we decide to pay out of pocket? I am only asking because it will be obvious that she is 3 since that is the minimum age for the BBB.....I am hoping that either way we decide to do it she will still be considered under 3 since that was the age at check in. She is a VERY light eater so I would hate to spend the $30+ for her to nibble!!! Thanks in advance (and I hope this made sense)!!

I could have written this post as my DD is turning 3 on the 10th and we will be at CRT also! The way I understand it is if you are on the dining plan and as long as she was 2 when the trip started she will be considered "under the age of 3" throughout the whole trip and she will not have any dining credits. As for paying OOP -- I don't know. Somebody should be able to post their experience. What time are you doing BBB/CRT?

What a small world it is!! I am hoping to get into BBB for the first reservation of the day (which I believe is 8), and then hitting CRT for the latest breakfast reservation they have, and if I can't get breakfast, then the earliest lunch. What are your plans?

My 20 mth old ate off our plates the whole time. I doubt anyone will say anything, especially if she's listed on the ressie at 2 yrs old. I paid OOP for CRT. It was ridiculously priced (round about $120 for 2 adults, 4 yr old, and and 20 mth old), and this was BREAKFAST! It was worth it be in the castle and see the princesses though.

I know that at CRT for lunch, both in 2006 with my DD the week before she turned 3 and in 2008 with my 10 month old, they were brought out a children's appetizer plate of fruit, cheese, etc. They were also brought out a lunch meal (buttered noodles?), drink and a dessert. We did not pay for it either time, nor did we ask for anything for her...they just brought it out for her. We are going back to CRT in Nov for our DD's 3rd birthday and assuming she will get the same. Not sure about breakfast and/or dinner though, as we have only done lunch.

At breakfast in Mar '09, our 2-year-old twins were brought out french toast sticks, just like our 3- (almost 4-) year-old son, who was "paying". They all got wishing stars and a sword or a wand.

The twins also counted toward party size for number of photos, so we got 2 pictures as a party of 5, even tough we only had 3 "paying" guests.
