Hello everyone,

I am going on september 2011 for my little girls first trip (she will be 2y old).
right now she loves Mickey and the princesses, so I want a character meal with them, I do not know which is better, CRT or the one in Norway.

Thanks to all

We did CRT for breakfast back in 2005. It was a lot of fun and the princesses were great. They gave an option for a hot or a cold breakfast. We chose the hot breakfast, and honestly it was probably the worst food we had at Disney that entire week. Back at that time I think CRT only had breakfast, and it was only 1 TS credit on the dining plan.

This upcoming trip in May we are going to do the princess lunch at Akershus after they get made up at the DD BBB earlier in the morning. I'm hoping the food will be better than what we had at CRT 5 years ago.

Really I think the biggest thing about CRT that makes it so insanely popular is that it is in Cinderella's Castle.

I have been to both at breakfast in 2007 and plan to go to both again. As you probably know, Akershus will be cheaper. Less money or less credits if you are on the DP. Both breakfasts were similar and not amazing. Just standard breakfast food, good and plenty of it. Both character interactions were great. Lots of princesses coming to your table, talking to you and signing autographs. You got your picture taken with Cinderella at CRT (included in the price). You got your picture taken with Belle in Akershus (I don't think the picture was included in the price of this one...I could be wrong:confused3).

My youngest DD was almost 3 at the time of the trip and was a HUGE Cinderella fan at the time. She remembers.....not much of any of it.

So if you want to experience eating inside Cinderella Castle with your DD and the cost is not a major issue. I would suggest CRT.

But if you just want her to be able to interact with the princesses, if Cinderella is not the be-all-end-all for her, and if you would perfer not to spend that much money on mediocre food, I would tell you that Akershus would be the better option.

At two, she is still young enough to not even realize that eating in the castle is an option. Personally, I love being inside the castle. I find it very special. The fact that my kids love it is a bonus but I would still want to go even if they didn't care one way or the other. For others, this is not a big deal and they would rather spend that money or credit or time elsewhere. She won't remember very much anyway so do what is important to you. She will love either or both!!:thumbsup2

For the cost I would def skip CRT. Being in the castle def didn't make it worth the cost. The princess experience at Askershus was MUCH better.

We have done both breakfasts and we much more prefer Akershus breakfast over CRT. The thing about CRT that we really like is the atmosphere, there is nothing like eating in the castle when your favorite princesses come walking out. However, the food at Akershus is much better (we are all in love with the cheesy potatoes ) plus the princess interaction is awesome. The princesses seem to interact more with the guests at Akershus than at CRT (at least the last couple of times the Princesses seemed like they were rushing around at CRT). Since we do like to eat in the castle, we prefer the dinner over the breakfast. You get the same princesses with really good food and awesome desserts. Good luck deciding.

We like breakfast at both CRT and Akershus. The lunch and dinner meals - not so much. Sometimes, Akershus has more princesses, and they have had Mulan and yellow dress Belle, which I have not seen at CRT. Akershus has a cold buffet and hot food served family style. CRT is inside a castle, which is really an awesome experience. Akershus is one of our favorite places. Either way, I don't think you can go wrong. Or, you could just do both?

We've gone to both and like them both........but there's something special for the first time of walking up those castle steps with your daughter to eat in Cindrella's castle. Kind of pricey, but I'd suggest that for the first time. Eyes will light up :)

I agree with a lot of what madcam said. When it came down to choosing 2 of the 3 options, my 3 & 5yo girls picked 1900PF & Akershus to see Cinderella and Aurora. Maybe we'll do CRT when my little one is older. We did CRT (and 1900PF & Akershus) when they were 1 & 3.5, it obviously didn't make that much of an impact.
