CRT vs Akershus

I have breakfast reservations at CRT and lunch reservations at Akershus (different days). I'm thinking there probably isn't a need to do both.


I have also already been to both, but my mind is fuzzy. I know it is subject to change, but which princesses are usually at CRT vs which are at Akershus? I know there is a lot of overlap, with Belle being the central princess at Akershus and Cinderalla at CRT.

I'm leaning toward keeping the CRT reservation, just because it is an 8:15 am on a 9am park opening day.

CRT is typically Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora, Ariel, and Jasmine.
Akershus is typically Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora, Ariel, and Belle.

I wish they would regularly have different princesses at the two meals. No love for Rapunzel, Tiana, the Frozen sisters, Merida, Pocahontas, Mulan...Might actually get us to spend the ridiculous amount of money for both meals if they had some different characters.

We've got Merida for the CRT dinner the Friday before last. We never bother to line for her M&G with the long line under the sun and was pleasantly surprise to see her. She was such a delight.

Food, price and character interaction (other than Merida) are better at Akershus in my opinion. I would keep both unless there is better plan. I don't take afternoon breaks at hotel and therefore prefer to have a sit down meal at each of my park day to relax.

I wish they had a better rotation as well. We went to both last week and while the food is different, the atmosphere is different, aside from Jasmine and Belle, the characters are the same, right down to Cinderella. I understand the whole coronation thing that keeps the A&E sisters from interacting with the coronated Princesses, but really, why can't we have Mulan and Rapunzel and Merida appear as well. This year I booked a lot of character meals for the little girls we had with us, and I am not sorry, they had a blast, but I tell you, Aurora, Snow and Cinderella have a lot of time going on! We missed Merida due to a long line, and needed a FP for Rapunzel...and there was Cinderella again... Snow and Aurora were in the MK as well as Snow in Epcot. Holy overkill for the basic three! Even Ariel was at both Princess meals.

We do both, but I like the food at both, so that is why. We also do a breakfast every day before park opens since my kids are early risers. The locations and atmospheres are so different they feel like very different experiences even if you see the same princesses.

We did Akershus earlier this year but my daughter says if we ever go again her one wish would be to go to CRT. Well....we are now going again but I'm reluctant to book CRT. The price is just crazy and it's all of the same princesses (save Jasmine). I have had the lunch reservation up on my screen with my credit card in hand TWICE since Friday and I just can't pull the trigger on it.
I would keep the CRT if I were you. Eating in the castle before park opening is a winner!
