Today I made the mistake thinking it was the 28th. I called up for CRT on 8/28 and they went thru everything and there was one time slot for my party of 7 at 10:10. Then we realized that I was one day early so no go.

Now I am wondering do they completely book the castle with those people who can call and do 180 + 10? Or do they leave some table slots open each hour for those that call on their first 180th day? Was I clear enough? Sometimes I think ignorance is bliss.

Hi!
They don't open up very much for the 180 plus 10. On the real 180 days from the day you want, they open up most of the seats. I had to call back myself on the actual 180th day since we are a party of 7 and couldn't find much doing the 180 plus 10.

Oh..wow I didn't realise they did that  .
Is this the same for all restaurants?? When I called on my 180+10 They mistakenly thought I wanted tuesday 22nd for CRT breakfast and the CM told me Iam sorry we are totally full that day.......Was she being untruthful??
I actually wanted a day further into the week though..it was 180 +6 and this was fine I got 8.10am just what I wanted. Yet the 22nd, which was my 180 +1 was full.

Ok, well I just got off and though they still did not have and seating available in the castle before the park opens I did get a seating for 7 at 10:10. I'm happy about that and atleast I won't be going crazy trying to get everyone up at the crack of dawn and stressing myself out. Maybe someone is trying to tell me something! :rotfl2:

We had a 10:30am breakfast at CRT & it worked out great. We got to the park at opening..did Fantasyland from 9am - 10:15am. Rode on everything & some things twice that we wanted..then off to a leisurely breakfast. Enjoy! :sunny:

I haven't heard of this 180+10. Can you please explain it to me? THANKS!

Thanks mommykds for your input! I do think this will work out better for our group. There is an EMH night the night before so maybe we will do that and get all our MK stuff out of the way. OMG did I just type that! :teeth:

180 + 10 is at your 180 day mark to make ADR's you can make your first days plus up to 10 additional days. It's great for planners and I would take full advantage of it, however I am traveling with my girlfriend and her kids and I don't want to overwhelm her when its still six months away. She wanted to eat at the castle so I knew I had to get this one right away. :thumbsup2

Ok, this plus 10 is new to me too!
So you can not call 10 days prior to your 180 day mark, right?
Just what ever your last day would be of the trip, plus 10 days prior?

This is confusing!

Just when you think you have everything figured out! :scratchin

Here it is from mousesaver's:

Disney resort guests can call 180 days in advance of their day of arrival and make up to 10 days of Advance Dining Reservations at (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463).

You will be asked for your phone number or reservation number. The agent will verify in the system that you have a reservation at a Disney resort. Once that is established, you can make all your Advance Dining Reservations at once, for up to ten days of vacation!

Well that is cool!
Only have to get up at the crack of dawn one day, instead of a week in a row!

Ok, I can NOT leave well enough alone. I called at 7 and was able to change my ADR from 10:10 to 8:10! So it is true that they only open up a few tables before the 180 mark. On the 180 day they open up everything. Well I'm very happy :cool1: I love being in the park before it opens and being at the rope drop at the castle. :Pinkbounc

Just one additional point of clarification: To use the 180+10 you must be staying at a Disney resort. They will ask you for your reservation number. When you are exactly 180 days from check-in, you may call and make your ADRs for that day, and up to 10 subsequent days. So yes, you may wrap it up with one phone call. However as previous posters have commented, you may find some seatings limited until exactly the 180 day mark when seating is opened to the general population. That being said, when I booked my ADRs for August using 180+10, I got everything I wanted and only had to shift two meals + or - five minutes from my desired time
