I took advantage of the free dining yesterday and even though I really thought it would be wasted time, went ahead and called for ADR's. From previous experiences, I wasn't really expecting to get CRT breakfast, but low and behold it was there waiting for me. The CM said she had several times available for that day. Why so easy? I know in past years I have been one of those on the phone at 7:00:00 am to be sure and get the time I wanted. Is the price starting to max out to the point that attendance is dropping?

I am certainly not complaining :) , just curious.

Ok, I'm totally drawing a blank here... CRT ? Cinderella?
If so, we've never did it.. Found out it was 2 dinning meals or over $100 and said Never mind :confused3 We are going to see Cinderella and the Step Sisters in 2 weeks at Grand Floridian..

Yes, the character breakfast in the castle. You are right - the price is getting  . We have been fortunate enough to go during free dining the last couple times, and our girls LOVE to eat in the castle. (I don't think everyone loves it as much as them though!) We budget our TS credits accordingly and eat counter service one extra time.

A couple of reasons I can think of.

The Cinderella breakfast was so popular that the one in Norway was added. So now people don't have to go to Magic Kingdom to satisfy the princess fix.

In the past, people would "hog" the reservations fully never intending to use them and then selling them. Disney fixed that problem.

People are getting tired of princesses.

Female tweens are now into Hannah Montana and High School Musical so they have left the princess worship behind earlier.

The price is getting too high and having to prepay with a credit card is not appealing.

There was no CRT breakfast available the week we are going (9-18 - 9- 24) and lunch times were pretty limited too.

I have been able to get CRT less than 180 days out several times in the past couple years. I think it is only due to the cost. CRT has gone up in price more than most other restaurants.

A few days ago I was able to get CRT for 5/17. As another poster said, the reason most likely is the price vs. the 1 TS at the princess breakfast in Norway. Also it's pretty well-known that you don't go to CRT for the food.

I booked CRT for my last trip with ease past the 180 day mark. My thoughts are this:

*The window for princess loving has gotten smaller thanks to Miley and HSM, now mostly it's preschoolers that love the princesses- possibly less kids want to eat there (just a theory).
*If you've been once on a trip you may not go again- the food is terrible.
*There are 2 princess meals one at MK one at EPCOT
*The PRICE!!!
*Maybe the time of year/day you were booking for just wasn't as busy for some cosmic reason no one can explain....

IDK- everyone had me all stressed out about getting an ADR for there after I booked our last trip past the 180 day mark. I was able to get breakfast there on my DD's birthday with a choice of times.

ENJOY!!! My DD did- we will be doing it again this trip too (provided I can get the time and day I want).

I think it's much easier because:

It's now very expensive and 2 TS credits
It's now also a princess lunch too so that doubles the ADRs available (I don't count dinner as you only see Cinderella and then the mice and Godmother do a ceremony)
They added PSB breakfast, lunch and dinner
It's now pre-paid; some don't like that
For many it's now a once in a lifetime meal rather than a once every trip meal

And of course, the other reasons mentioned on this thread.

It also depends on the amount of the people in your party. Called at 7 am 180 days out and could not get breakfast for 5. I did get lunch. I got the impression I could get 4 but we can't very well hide the baby. I was disappointed but not enough to change which day we go to the magic kingdom so for now I am going to keep it and decide later if it is worth doing. I just don't know. When we go my girls will be 3 and 17 months and the 3 year old loves princesses so I guess we go......It is two table credits so I guess I question it's value but the kids will probably really like it. I am hoping the 5 year old (boy) is happy with the sword - wish there was a boy focused meal also.
