HI!
We have a reservation at 8:15 on a weekday that the park opens at 9:00. We have a car and are staying at the OKW. What type of transportation should we take to the MK and how much time should we allow?
Thank you

I would suggest being at your OKW bus stop between 7:30 and 7:45. Your car won't make things easier because you'd have to park at the Transportation and Ticket Center and take the ferry or monorail to the MK. Much easier to take the bus and get dropped off right at the park entrance.

I am just wondering what time the busses start running. A websight I saw said they start one hour before the parks open. Does that mean the will still be running for the park that has a ee? The MK opens at 9 that day. I just hope I can catch the bus.

Take the bus.

Busses start operating for MK area character breakfasts between 6:30 and 6:45AM.

Make sure you have time to take pictures of the castle etc. with an empty main street.

Our character breakfast was at 8:45am. They told us to arrive early which we were planning on anyhow since we heard that there is no better time to take pictures. How right they were!!! Walking down Mainstreet by ourselves and taking pictures in front of the castle...wow! We were at the castle by 8:15 and they seated us right away so we were finished and ready to walk right into fantasy land when the ropes dropped at 9. It was a magical morning that just carried over the entire day. Have a great time.

Disney transportation will get you to your PS, I am absolutely certin of that (wow and you score CRT PSs, that's great!). They run special buses just so that folks can make iot to their PSs in time. OKW bus service is great, and driving to MK makes absolutely no sense at all, since you would need to park somewhere in outer space to take a tram to the TTC then monorail to the park gates; your bus on the other hand is specifically set up so that you will get tirhgt from OKW to the park gates in a very short time.

As Pete W suggests, 7:30-7:45 at your OKW bus stop should be fine. If you want to make sure, call the OKW front desk the night before and make sure that they know you're looking for the character breakfast bus the next morning.

Thank you !!
The bus sounds great. I really did not want to drive and deal with the parking situation.I feel much better now. :)

I just wanted to say that we have a res at Crystal Palace for breakfast on 9/27/04 for 8:00am and was told we had to find our own transportation to the park because the buses don't start running that early. I guess it must depend on what time of year you are going for the buses to be running early. Make sure you check with your resort when you get there to make sure the bus is running. We did this a couple of years ago and waited outside at the bus stop only to find they weren't running and had to run back inside and get the keys to our car and just about made the reservations on time.

As you know, if you call WDW reservations 4 times, it is very likely you will get four different answers (and they all work in the same department). :( So they not knowing about transporation is very likely.

As Tyler (Chip and Dale Express) has said many times, only trust people wearling purple pants with transportation questions.:D

For some reason, Dining refuses to acknowledge that we have buses running that early. And sometimes even Guest Services at the resort will tell you the buses don't exist. However, as a bus driver who has driven those early breakfast buses many times, I can assure you, they do exist, and run every day. Magic Kingdom area buses will start running sometime around 6:30. Of course actual arrival time will vary.

One thing I always tell folks... never trust bus transportation information unless it comes from someone wearing purple pants (ie: the bus drivers)
