CRT Question

When do people technically start canceling the many reservations they overbooked? Trying to get into CRT for November (during free dining week), I check daily and nothing. What's the rule of thumb for this restaurant?

I booked mine late, about 90 days out,,, It was always full, then I started checking it about 5 times a day and one day a reservation for 4 popped up for lunch... I was all over it...My daughter and mother are thrilled!! Also around the 45 day out people will cancel package reservations to avoid loosing their 200.00 deposit...

Thanks, I'll keep checking. It just dawned on me, I have a reservation for 4 people but need it for 5 or plus highchair. Is that possible instead of changing the reservation to 5 altogether? Anyone know if they can just throw a highchair at a 4 top table?

PEople actually get their full refund if they cancel up to 48 hours in advance. I'm kinda holding on to this as my one last Hail Mary.

Keep checking around the 45 day mark some people cancel there trip around then and there reservations, theres also chance of a walk up i would go to there right away after park opening.

Thanks, I'll keep checking. It just dawned on me, I have a reservation for 4 people but need it for 5 or plus highchair. Is that possible instead of changing the reservation to 5 altogether? Anyone know if they can just throw a highchair at a 4 top table?

Call the dining line and see if they can change your reservation to 5 people. Everyone needs to be included in all dining reservations regardless of how young or whether they will be eating or not because of fire code regulations. Tables at CRT are close together and the aisles need to be kept clear for the princesses and servers so you'll need a 6 top for your party. They can't just "throw a highchair at a 4 top."

If you show up with an extra person, CMs will do their best to seat everyone, but there is always a slim chance that they can't because the restaurant is at capacity or what we saw at a different DW restaurant - it was running far behind schedule so they would not seat anyone not on a reservation.

Keep checking online multiple times a day to see if a cancellation comes up. While there might be an uptick about 45 days before the day you want and close to the cancellation deadline, cancellations will come up at any time because of the severe financial penalty. If you are flexible about the day or meal you can expand your options.

So I called the reservation line and the girl was all "oh you can show up and they can add a highchair". I actually don't think she is accurate about that at all and when I went in to change around the actual people it wouldn't allow me. I'll call again today and see if there is someone more helpful!

The reservation line CMs can make/modify/cancel reservations, but they are not necessarily familiar with the restaurants or the policies that govern each restaurant. Regardless of what a person on the phone says, in the end it's the decision of the CMs working at CRT based on circumstances at the time you dine. As I said, if you show up with an extra person, most of the time CMs will be able to accommodate you, but there is the slim chance that it won't be possible. I'm glad you are continuing to check for a party of 5. You can save time by checking online. If a reservation shows up, book it and then cancel you res for 4.
