Question- I was able to get a ressie for CRT for six, though we really only needed one for five... CM said 5 was really hard to get, but there was a 6 one available. (OK...... guess won't seat 5 at a 6 spot?)

I booked it thinking my dad would just go along with the girls. He really doesnt' want to though. (Girls day and all- he'd rather be with the guys doign their thing.) So what's going to happen if I call to cancel just him. (Eg making it now a ressie for 5.):confused3 Do we get bumped out because we only need a 5 seat table or ???? I'm don't want to lose the whole thing, nor really pay for someone who isn't there {I'd force one of the other guys to go and watch them be grumpy all lunch, lol})

Anyone know?

IDK- I wouldn't pay for a spot I wasn't using. You could try calling and drop your extra seat now that you have confirmed with a CC- I don't *think* they would tell you NO you can't eat there now once you've made the ADR.

As far as dropping your ### in your party goes- we had to last trip b/c my mom and dad were unable to join us last minute- so we dropped all our ADRs down from 6 to 4 people. We had no problem doing this and keeping our ADR times as they were- even at CRT (we were issued a full refund for the unwanted seats). HTH

Now since they told you 5 was a hard to get reservation, they *might* give you a hassel- but I really have faith in the CMs that they won't.... Good luck.

Thought I'd update this for anyone else in the situation. I called WDW DINE a few days before (from WDW.. walked clear from Shades of Green to the Poly monorail clear around to TTC and then to Epcot in the time I was on hold, lol.)

She told me if I cancelled the one person, it could cancel the whole reservation. We'd book it as a table of 6, it was all or nothing. (!) I (very politely) said when I'd booked they'd told me I had to cancel 48h prior because it was CRT but most definitely was not told it was all or nothing. She put me back on hold, checked with whomever. Came back and told me she'd refunded just the 6th seat.

I was a little nervous going to CRT that day, but we got there- had a reservation and--- a table for 5 (with 5 actual seats, I mean). :)

So, they can do it, just be nice (but persistent) if you have to!

Good to know. I'm in the same boat. Couldn't get a ressie for a party of 5...so I have one for a party of 6. I was also told I couldn't drop a person. I was planning on telling them at the podium, that only 5 could make it. (I'm not paying for the 6th seat because the "6th person" is an "infant").

Maybe I'll try your way, and see if I can get it changed to a party of 5.

I'd be sure to do it outside of the 48h window vs at the podium! That much they did tell me when I made the ressie...

Good luck!

Do you have 6 people including the infant? and one more would have been 7?
Or did you have 6 including the infant and now one less is coming?
