CRT photos

I recently (end of August) had breakfast at CRT - amazing decor and customer service, food was not too bad. Whatever happened to the photo package that was included in the price? I thought we were supposed to get a photo package of the picture with Cinderella? Is that no longer the case or did I miss something?

No longer. The photographer put our photo with Cinderella on our band in May and so it was on our memory maker, but no prints at the table. I think it changed in January.

Thank you. So is it now a free download or do you need to have purchased the memory maker? For the price of it I would expect it to be included.

1) Photos were halted in January.
2) NO character meals include photo packages any longer.
. . . the Ravello at the Four Seasons does include a photo package
. . . but, of course, they are not Disney-owned
3) If you want a photo outside of the eatery, buy the MM package or use your own camera.
4) For inside the eatery, there are zero photographers, so your own camera is the only way for a picture
5) This forces people to buy the Memory Maker package, at huge Disney profits.

There has never been a photographer inside the restaurants, you always have to take them yourself or ask a CM to do it for you.

Before you enter the restaurant at Cinderella's and a few other restaurants you pose with Cinderella (or whoever) and a photopass photographer takes your picture. Prints of these used to be included in the meal price at CRT. Now they are just added to your photopass card and you either pay for a print ($14.95 - $16.95), pay for a download ($14.95) or pay for memory maker for unlimited downloads ($169-$199). Effectively by them no longer giving you the print, the meal got $15 more expensive.

But you have always had to use your own camera inside the restaurant, there has never been a Photopass photographer walking round with the characters.

1) Correct.
2) It would be too confusing, too time consuming, and too unsafe.
. . . people would want individual "professional" shots with each character, slowing the route of the character
. . . even without the character, people could demand photos of themselves and others at their table
. . . people would stand in places restricting the traffic flow and paths/aisles within the eatery
3) At one time, there was a BRIEF trial of taking photos inside eateries, then stopped just as quickly.
4) It is much quicker and far more safer to have folks use their own cameras or p[hot equipment.

I'm with ya! @TheRustyScupper always gives great and helpful responses.

The photo package with Belle at Akershus was another great one that was discontinued. You can still get the photo with her with your own camera so at least you can still do that. You would think the price for these 2 meals would have gone down even just a little bit, but that is not the case.

We must have gotten lucky then. In the entry before you go upstairs or take the elevator up to CRT there definitely was a disney photographer with Cinderella there in May. We did not have our camera that morning just my magic band with MM and the photo was there when I downloaded them. All the other princesses up in the restaurant were not with a photographer just like the other character meals.

That's consistent with what others described in this thread. Photogs are in the lobby with Cindy. Photo goes to your MM account. If you have purchased MM, it will come with your download at no additional charge. If you have not purchased MM, it will be available for purchase.

Print packages used to be given to every guest at CRT and Akershus for no charge, so this was a pretty big takeaway.
