WE GOT OUR PS - but......

I have read many things about how to get a PS at CRT, but I never saw anyone mention that when the announcer answers "for real", press 1 immediately. He will give a little speech that lasts about 10 seconds, but when seatings go as quickly as they do for this, 10 seconds matter. So, don't listen to him talk - just push 1 right away!

Also, I was on hold 11 minutes when the CM came on. I said "CRT for 5 people for _________ (date)" She said there was nothing available for 5 people. I quickly asked - how about for 4 people, bumping out my 11 year old son. We got in @ 10:10!

My son had previously said "Mom, if there's going to be any meals where princesses are involved, I'd just as soon not go". Live and learn son, be careful what you say because it might just happen! So, while we are enjoying breakfast with our 2 DD's, he can ride Buzz Lightyear 'til his fingers fall off!

So, be flexible about your party size. There aren't that many large tables. If only 3 or 4 of you really want to go, try for your entire party first, and if you don't get that you can still try for a smaller table. AND PRESS 1!!!!

Glad you got your PS. Hopefully your son won't be too disappointed.

Yes! Push #1 as soon as you know they are open! Don't listen to the guy talk.

Hope you have a wonderful time. We will be there at 8:10 that same morning.

I tried for several days, too. The first day was the day I had planned on, but also did not know at that time to push 1 right away. I knew the other days, but still could not get CRT on an EMH day.
My husband and I have never had any problems before getting the day we want- (in late May-early June 2000 and August 2001.) I'm wondering if there are just more die-hard Disney fans intent on CRT going in December. We all know its a great time to go and I think a lot of us want to skip the summer crowds and heat. Think more DIS people go in off-season than during the summer?

It could be. I LOVE WDW - but I don't think I would go in the summer, even if it were free. Well, maybe if it were free, but I would just stay by the pool and eat alot of good food. Dec. is just the most perfect time to go. See you there!

ROTFL!!!
I read that other post and thought, gee that kid's going to have to eat with princesses. Sounds like he got his wish, lol!
I'm sure he can handle himself, and remember that there's breakfast available at the Main St. Bakery, Skuttle's Landing, and Westward Ho.

Your post cracked me up! I read it to my husband, and he just keeps repeating your lines, and laughing. Thanks for a great Sunday morning wake-up. This was better than the Sunday Funnies! Have a great time on your trip!

Too funny! My sister got CRT ressies last spring thinking her dh wasn't going to be able to go, & called back a few days later to try and add him even though they were sold out and they said they can usually add 1 person to a party. So you may want to try that.....

Was the CM saying that there are no tables for 5 available at all or only for the date you needed? The reason I ask is that we had no problem at all getting a table for 5 when we made our PS.

There were no tables for 5 available when she checked. That was at about 11 after 7.

UPDATE: Today I was able to get a table for 5. Now I just have to decide whether to coerce my son into going or let him sit it out. He's not very independent yet. He likes to be with his family, so he may choose dealing with the princesses over not being with his family.

I will post when I decide which one to let go before I actually call to do it in case anyone out there needs a CRT on Dec. 12th or 13th.
;)
