CRT Lunch or 1900 Park Fare for my bday?

I actually have ADRs for both on my bday and I'm not sure if I will cancel one since my kids love those meals. I don't want to start a debate re: is CRT worth 2 credits/price or not, we will probably keep this ADR regardless because my kids agreed eating in the castle was the most special dining experience ever. I just thought I may order a bday cake for myself b/c my kids aren't old enough to do it for me. I also thought maybe I would try to order a slipper dessert instead of a cake since my kids aren't really cake eaters. Anyway, does anyone know if
A) the slipper is available by special order at both of these places?
B) if not which one?
C) where do I call to order one?
D) which one is the most fun for a bday celebration?

TIA

Well, we don't do the dining plan, so I can't really tell you if it's worth 2 credits...and we've never eaten lunch at either place. But for dinner last week, I was not too thrilled with 1900 Park Fare, and LOVED my dinner at CRT. I ate at CRT for dinner on my birthday, and it was worth the money for sure.

My family loved 1900 Park Fare and got to interact with the characters twice during that dinner. At CRT the interaction was brief and rushed, I will not go back there. However you sound really set on both, so have a good birthday!!! (CRT has more "live" people, 1900 has cindy prince and mice if that helps with your decision about which would be more fun)

you can order the slipper from grand floridian and have it sent to any rest I believe.

CRT & 1900 Park Fair will decorate the table with Mickey confetti.
They both most likely give you a birthday card signed by the characters.

CRT - you can order a cake - 407-824-7091
At lunch and dinner at CRT, the Fairy God Mother will annouce all the birthdays and anniversaries to everyone seated in the restaurant.

1900 Park Fair - only place you can get the mini white castle cake, white/milk chocolate slippers and chocolate dog bones. Call 407-824-2578.
1900 Park Fair will also give you a tiara (ladies) or crown (gents).

Both places are fun - if you can - I would do both.
CRT lunch or breakfast and 1900 Park Fair dinner.

For our DD's birthday we are doing 1900 Park Fair for dinner the day of her actual birthday (the day we arrive in WDW) and she will get her birthday button at MK the next morning in time to do CRT breakfast for her birthday too. No cake - she is just getting a cupcake - besides it will be 8:10 AM- too early for cake :rotfl:

That's interesting...I was at 1900 Park Fare for my birthday too, and we didn't get anything. CRT did the birthday stuff. Really, you need to remember that none of the birthday extras are guaranteed anywhere, so you need to choose it based on what you want from the atmosphere and food.

Do any Princesses show up at CRT for dinner? I was under the impression they did not.

It was Cinderella, Prince Charming and the two mice Suzy and Perla when we went last August. The Fairy Godmother was supposed to have been there too but was on a break when we came through.

The new way that CRT is done, breakfast and lunch are the regular character meals. However, Cinderella is only in the lobby for pictures, she does not come around to the tables. Dinner is the same with Cinderella, but does not have the princesses. Fairy Godmother, Suzy and Perla come out and flit about to the tables, interacting a little bit, but don't really do the autograph/photo/interaction stuff. They do a wishing ceremony and then leave.
