CRT lunch menu update

We just ate there Thursday and I know a few people wondered what was on the menu since major domos pie is gone. There were 5 choices, the fish (cobia I think), a seared tuna salad, the vegetarian cassulet, pork 3 ways and the short ribs which is more like a pot roast. There was no chicken option at all, the chicken salad is gone. I had the pork and DH had the short ribs, both were good, nothing to write home about, but we were satisfied. DD got the beef tenderloin off the kids menu, she cleaned her plate so it must have been good. Kids got either ice cream or cupcake and adults got mousse or something else, we both got the mousse so I forget the other option.

Yikes- we are sitting here contemplating booking CRT in March. We have been there 12+ times, and NEVER done it. We have favorites, and dont want to give up another table service credit for it. Now our youngest is almost 4, and REALLY into the princess thing. But I keep looking at the menu, and thinking- is it REALLY worth giving up another dinner, when there is NOTHING on the menu that sounds good? Tough decision....food or atmosphere? Only problem in my mind is the double credit.

I miss the old menus here. They had a wonderful sandwich on crusty ciabatta bread a few years ago. It was a nice lunch option. I am not thrilled with any of the current offering for lunch.

Thanks for the update. That's really too bad about the menu - my DH had the majordomo in June and it was really nice.

Thanks for the update. I wish more people would complain to them... not sure if that would help bring back a better menu.
They need Major Domo... and some type of chicken - salad, sandwich, something.

we were really tasting that Major Domo on our last trip and were crushed when it wasn't offered anymore. We were nice about it, but explained that sorry, we wouldn't be staying to eat. Manager came over to see what was up... said sorry, not staying to just try something and pick at something not interested in, really love that Major Domo!
For 2 credits, sorry, but want to enjoy our meal!
My girls joke now.... we had our picture with cinderella taken beforehand obviously... never got it when we left (didn't think to ask - figured not paying for meal, then not entitled to it)... but girls joke and say they probably have it in the breakroom now hanging up with a caption "The family that actually walked out of CRT".

I did book it again for our late November trip - booked it towards the end of our trip. Figured would go there earlier in the trip and see if by chance Major Domo is back on menu then - am doubtful it is - and if not, will be within the time frame to cancel our reservation.

Fried Chicken - with macaroni & cheese.

Hadn't heard the fried chicken mentioned before.... so this is new menu I'm assuming.
Love how they added the "major domo" to the short ribs.

So who has had the short ribs there? Any comparison to Major Domos Fav Pie at all?

Wow, I can't believe Major Domo's pie is gone! That was the only reason we ate lunch at CRT!

I had the Major Domo's pie when I was there, and it's the only thing I've ever had at CRT that was really memorable.

We had the short ribs in septmeber (they weren't called major domo then) and they were fabulous. I was do bummed about major domo being gone also- it was one of our favorite meals and I've even tried to recereate it at home. However the short ribs were so yummy neither dh or I mourned for the pie. Just wish the portion was larger.

Fried chicken must be new it wasn't there in September.
