CRT for Breakfast or Lunch?

Good Morning! We have planned to go to CRT this trip so my daughter can experience the castle and princesses. We dined at Askershus last year. Although I have read all of the average to not great reviews, we are doing this ADR just the same. If given the chance, should we dine at breakfast (8:05 am) or lunch (11:45)? Any helpful advice is welcome!

The experience between breakfast and lunch won't be that much different. You should look over the breakfast and lunch menus to see which appeals to you more. It may also depend on whether you're paying out of pocket or using dining plan credits. OOP will be cheaper at breakfast, but dining credits would be the better "value" at lunch.

Depending on opening hours at MK, breakfast can also get you into the park before opening so that you can get some pretty cool photos.

I have done both and thought the lunch experience is far superior. The food was much, much better at lunch, and the kids were "into it" more because they were less sleepy. Also, there is a bonus of getting out of the heat for a nice midday break at lunch time. When we went at 8am, we felt like we missed out on the prime opening hour for riding attractions because by the time we did the Cinderella photo shoot, finally got our table, ate our food, and met all the princesses, the park had gone from empty to full.

I've looked at some of the reviews and I swear some people go in wanting Victoria and Alberts along with 20 minutes with each of the characters and absolutely no wait downstairs. Well I can guarantee you you won't be getting that. What you will be getting is a decent, plate of food and some character interaction. But there is nothing like the princesses in the castle.
I suggest lunch.
1. The food is a bit better.
2. You won't be eating into morning touring time.

And as always, if you do end up with a before the park opening reservation watch out during busy times. What starts out as a before the park opens reservation can end up as a when the park opens reservation when hours change or they throw a surprise emh.
