CRT for a 4-year-old Boy?!?

We took advantage of the free DDP offer for late August. We are staying 7 days, 6 nights, so we'll have 6 TS meals. Right now, I have ADR's for the following equaling 10 TS:

Day 1: Boma (thinking of canceling; will be waking up at 3 am to fly to Orlando. May not make it to dinner. But we won't be going back to AK during our stay. Any thoughts?)

Day 2: Chef Mickey (B) Biergarten (D)

Day 3: Chef’s de France (thinking of canceling; going to Epcot Day 2 and think Biergarten is more fun for 4-year-old)

Day 4: Ohana (B) (my son LOVES Lilo and Stitch)

Day 5: 50’s Prime Time Café

Day 6: Cape May Café (B) Liberty Tree Tavern (D) (2 character meals the same day?)

Day 7: Cinderella’s Royal Table (L) (2 TS) (Will a 4-year-old boy (and his family) like CRT?)

Hi! I would say keep Boma. You can always cancel when you get to WDW and decide you can't make it. Please cancel, though, and not just be a no-show. Plenty of people call that day trying to get in so you will make someone happy!

Would you still go to Epcot on Day 3? If so, Coral Reef is always fun for the kids. Cape May at LTT in one day is okay if you must, but it's good that one is B and one is D.

As for CRT, I think your boy will love it. I MADE my boys (ages 9 and 5 at the time) go last year because I said that everyone must eat in a castle at least once in their life. They got swords and loved eating a castle. The boys didn't want anything to do with the princesses, but oh well. They ate in a castle (THE castle) and they said they loved it. The 5 year old even wants to go back!

They are totally in love with the princesses and love to get the lipstick marks on their cheeks!!!!
It is so cool, just to be in the castle.

My husband and I did CRT two and a bit years ago on our last trip before it was a character meal. (Then, Cinderella was available for pictures downstairs and came in an waved at the diners, but that was it.) DH loved eating in the castle served by costumed waitstaff, it was really cute. (Every time I mention to friends that we didn't like the food, he corrects me and insists that his prime rib was good.) Yes, despite eating at V & A, Coral Reef (right next to the aquarium), Brown Derby, California Grill, and Bistro de Paris, he still talks about CRT. Go figure.

So we're taking our DS... age 2 this September. We're going during free dining, but planning on paying OOP. We're hoping to get some cute photos with DS and the princesses, but even if we don't, I know my husband will enjoy it!

Absolutely. Our 2 yr old (and will be 3 yr old for our next trip) boy LOVED 1900 Park Faire. Cinderella was THE highlight. I'd bet your 4 yo will love Cindy's Royal Table.

I had to chime in here even though my response is no different. My little guy has always enjoyed eating in the big castle. He knows the princesses from his older sister. The princesses make a fuss over boys just like the girls, and Zach loved it. He was a total flirt!

We're taking our boys DS8 and DS5 for lunch at CRT. This will be my kids first trip to WDW and my youngest will be turning 6 that day! What a better place to eat than in Cinderella's Castle! Can't get anymore "Disney" than that. Even though my boys aren't "into" the princess', they will love to see the interior of the castle and be given swords. We're even ordering my son the slipper dessert to celebrate his day! Who knows, they may even get a big kick out of meeting the princess'-as long as I prepare them ahead of time for the possibility of....yuck...kisses!
