My daughter will be almost 5 on our next trip in August. I am trying to decide when to book the BBB followed by dinner at CRT. Our flight lands around 12. I could do it the first night or should I wait and do it midweek. I thought is might be an incredible first night in Disney. But do you think it will be too much for the 1st night?

Definitely midweek, you don't know how your going to feel/how tired you are going to be after arriving. Plus if your plane is delayed for some reason would you really want to be rushed? Also, this way it's something to look forward too, as opposed to starting with a bang and then hoping the other meals live up to CRT's atmosphere and all.

:thumbsup2 Exactly my thoughts! We did BBB first thing in the morning then lunch at CRT. DD loved being in her dress ALL day.

Midweek for sure. We don't plan prepaid or cancellation penalty meals for our arrival night, just in case travel delays get in the way of arriving on time. I wouldn't want to be rushing to try to make an ADR that we'd be charged for either way, or stressing over something very special that we couldn't really hope to reschedule.

If we arrive that early, I always want to ride some rides. I can't imagine a child preferring to get dressed up first thing, when they could be enjoying the attractions. Naturally, not all kids are the same. Getting fixed up midweek, followed by a trip to CRT, would probably be a lot of fun for her. Again, that depends on the child. Regardless, it will be a special memory for mommy. If it were me, I'd go midweek, after she's been able to experience the attractions & needs a little downtime.

in the week for many of the reasons mentioned above. We had one trip where the flight was delayed, my luggage was lost, the rental car agency only a had a twelve passenger van to fill our midsize car and Disney tried to step us down from our room level at a higher cost.

Pretty much anything that could go wrong did that time. We don't plan too much the first night, usually DTD or hanging out at the resort. That night I would not have enjoyed CRT as much as I should. And it's one of my highlights because my daughter really lights up there.

We ate lunch there when our daughter was 4 and 6 and she loved it so 5 should be a good age. If you can squeeze BBB in that should only heighten her experience.
