Has anyone tried this new dinner started in 2/06 with the photos?

We ate there last week and it was really great! The dessert was worth the money IMO! What do you want to know about it?

We did Cindy's in Feb. for my birthday. It was a nice experience if you've never done it, however, imo it isn't worth 2 TS credits. We did it the day before it changed, so it was still 1 TS, we enjoyed it, but MUCH preferred the food at other restaurants. (Le Cellier)

We also got the photo package, it was nice, again, not really worth it though, as DH took photo's (identical) to the photo in the package that were MUCH better.

Again, if you've never dined in the castle, and you REALLY REALLY REALLY just have too....... ( like I did, LOL) then do it, but I wouldn't do it again.

We were there just last week for the last meal of our trip. We surprised our kids (DS 9 pirate: , DD 7 princess: , and DD 4 princess: ) with dinner. We pretended we didn't know where we wanted to go for our last night dinner and asked them, if they could pick any place in the MK to eat, where would they pick. They pointed to the castle but didn't realize you could really eat there. When they found out that was our dinner plan they couldn't stop smiling. My 4 year old will tell anyone who asks that eating at Cinderella's castle was the favorite part of her trip (I must mention, she also did Splash Mountain, BTMR, Dinosaur and ToT - twice! - and CRT was the favorite part of her trip).

The food was not anything to write home about, but the pictures were very good and I plan on framing the 2 lithographs they give you for my daughter's rooms. I really enjoyed seeing the inside of the castle for the first time myself and the fairy godmother and 2 mice put on a very enjoyable show. When we go back, not sure I would do dinner again (maybe breakfast if I could get a ressie) but it was worth doing once! :)

I'm going there for dinner this coming trip. I am on the dining plan, but decided that 2TS was too much...so we are paying cash and using a DDE discount so it is under $50. I want to see WIshes from INSIDE the castle so I am hoping to get a two top by a window. Anyone know the table layout?????

I've heard that the food basically sucks..but I'm thinking how bad can they mess up prime rib? To whomever said that the dessert was excellent: what are the dessert choices?

I'm not overly into desserts but I do remember fondly that at DL at Allandin's dinner theatre (long ago) they served a chocholate lantern filled with mousse.
I saved that lantern for a long, long time, but no genie ever appeared.

We went for Dinner in Mid-March, after the changes. It was really cool to be inside the castle and Cinderalla in the lobby was very gracious. I had the blt salad, prime rib and berry sorbet for dinner, it was good but the sorbet was out of this world YUMMY!!! I am not sure you would be able to see the fireworks very well. I might have missed seeing the "good" seats but we were seated in the sunken lower level in the middle of the dinnig room. Great idea not to burn 2 TS for this meal. I am glad we did it once.

I, too, would be interested in knowing about dinner during Wishes. Has anybody been? I thought I read somewhere on these boards that although you cannot really see the FWs themselves (logically--they're directly over head), it was neat to be inside the castle with them streaming down in front of the windows?? :confused3

We enjoyed our food very much...Dh had the pork tenderloin and I had the tortilini. Both were very good. We also both had the BLT salad which I thought was excellent. I'm the one who said dessert was excellent too...I had the blueberry buckle crumb cake that comes with lemon ice cream. It was fabulous. DH had some kind of chocolate cake that he devoured. The other choice is the sorbet that one of the other posts mentioned.

There are about four or five other threads regarding CRT. Mostly negative and I was glad others here had good things to say. My DH and I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food (dinner). Weren't there for Wishes so can't shed any light on that. It's fun to try at least once though it is a little expensive (or 2 TS) but someday I will go back! So many restaurants and only so many days ... :teeth:

My husband and I ate dinner at Cinderella's Castle for our 2nd Anniversary on February 7. We had the most wonderful time!! Our prime rib was delicious - my husband liked it even better than his steak at Le Cellier. We were also fortunate to be seated at the table right next to the Windows, and enjoyed a truly magical view of Wishes.

I have to add to my reply above. We had a 7:45 reservation and finished right before Spectomagic. We just saw it the night before so we thought we'd head over to Tommorowland. We left the restaurant and saw a bunch of people on the balcony to watch the parade (I guess they had just finished at CRT too). We headed down the ramp and there was a CM there at a rope to prevent people from heading up the ramp to watch the parade. He let us leave the roped area and within a minute we realized we would never make it through the throngs of people and tried to return. He would NOT let us back in even though only 1 minute earlier we had been on the other side of that rope. Only those with reservations to eat were allowed in.

The take home message, if you're there around the time of the parades or fireworks, STAY PUT! You can't get anywhere anyway so stay and enjoy the view. I wish we did. :sad2:
